DJ Campbell could be set for a move to Watford. Reading and several Championship sides have shown some interest in the 30-year-old striker, who has been told he can leave QPR after only one season at Loftus Road. Campbell, who grew up in East Acton and was released by the Râs as a teenager, is keen to continue living in London. He returned to Rangers in a £1.25m transfer from Blackpool last summer but was hampered by injury problems and has made only two league starts for the club. A number of clubs have also considered making an approach for another out-of-favour QPR forward, Rob Hulse, but appear to have cooled their interest.
Hopefully Watford will take DJ of our hands As for a number of clubs being interested in Hulse, they may as well pay one of these blokes £30,000 a week
DJ never really got a chance, a good R's Lad but agreed time to move on. I would of thought he's better than Watford but good luck to him where ever he goes, he can take with him the memory of scoring for the club he supports.
Watford would be a great move for him. Mongy, wet fans of course but there's money behind them now and they'll fancy their chances of playoffs this season.
Maybe a loan till Jan would / could be good for both clubs and player. A chance for him to get fit and prove he has what it takes to play in premier league or transfer perm to a championship side.
Wish the lad well. It is wonderful when a boyhood supporter plays for their club. The fans love it - Lee Cook is best example - and I suspect it means everything for the player too. I would have loved to see him out a few more away for us but it was not to be.
Sky Sports sources understand Wigan and Blackburn have joined the race to sign QPR striker DJ Campbell. The marksman, who will be 31 years old in November, has already been the subject of an enquiry from Watford.
