We need to get rid of 5-6 players and bring in a couple of defenders. I think we are running on a budget that we will have with the new ground and the owners are taking a loss for 2-3 years until it can be built, its better than running on a budget for an 18k stadium and getting relegated.

No we didn't. That figure is probably what the deal with his contract and wages too. The figure that was touted at the time was between 2.5 to 4 million.
