I like the 10s on that Nigerian woman in the women's 100 metres actually. Though if she does win you want to cash the bet in qucikly as I smell a rat.......

I see GBR's Mo Farah is a red hot favourite to take out the men's 10,000. He'll have to pull out all stops to beat the Kenyans who've had a very strong squad to chose from. Then there are the great Ethiopians. I'm really looking forwards to the 5,000-10,000 races. Highlight of the game for me.

    11-8 Farah. (GBR)
    3-1 Kenensisa Bekele. (ETH)
    8-1 Wilson Kiprop. (KEN)
    8-1 Tariku Bekele. (ETH)
    10-1 Bedan Karoki Muchiri. (KEN)
    16-1 Moses Ndiema Masai. (KEN)
    16-1 Galen Rupp. (USA)
    20-1. Gebregziabher Gebremariam (ETH)

PS. Immediately after the trial, the Kenyan Athletic's chief Isaiah Kiplagat announced the the place getters would represent the nation. The third place getter that day was Karoki, but I don't know if he made the team as the betting has Muchiri in his place.

"I have an England rugby shirt with Guiness on the front which I will wear along with my hat which depicts Jesus drinking a can of coke and eating a burger King whopper....."

Dan: Do please furnish a photograph. I think I can get you a nice deal with an advertising agency down here, they pay well. I only charge 10%...<laugh>

Going to be doing multiples of a Jamaican sprint clean sheet, i'm going to go for Yohan Blake to do the double over Bolt, he's been running some quick times in the lead in and there are rumours Bolt is carrying an injury.

The torch was around my way today. There must have been a couple of thousand people there to watch it. It would have been fantatstic if it wasn't for the convoy of Lloyds TSB, Coca Cola and Mcdonalds trucks surrounding it....................

Saw an article yesterday Dan about how some of the street art in London has been "cleaned up" for the Olympics - liked this one:

<laugh> Makes me laugh really - they're cutting back on the army and the police and at the moment there seem to be more soliders and coppers on the streets than civilians!

Zen, thanks for your link- an excellent Article/Review.<applause> It makes a strong case for taking the 5/2 Germany. I suppose it had to be held at Greenwich, especially since they'll be jumping "round the clock."<laugh>

Biggest certainty of all time is Bo to win the 10m platform diving.Forget about Daley,he's class but this kid is a freak.Has scored perfect scores in his last 3 events,it had never been done even once before.Daley describes him as a machine, and that's just what he is!OK 4/7 isn't exactly the greatest price of all time but trust me it's like printing money.

When the German squad appeared last night, my missus (true-blue Bavarian lass) was apoplectic over their uniforms of pink and blue, especially when I remarked "wie süss" (how sweet). Who on earth dreamed that up? <doh>
