Paynter has since admitted that he would "relish" a move to the new den if the Leeds boss Neil Warnock decided it were in his best interests. "Paynter is one of many young players of that type we are looking to bring in," Ambler told the Southwark News. "Nothing is imminent but we've got scouts watching lots of players and we're considering who might be available."
Sticking point will be the price Mighty - we will want £10k but Leeds won't be able to afford that much so will only give us £5k to take him off their hands!
Farsley, "...come to Elland Road and score a ****ing hat-trick..." I've said on numerous occasions that Paynter will score plenty eventually for someone. He's a hell of a unit. When a side works out how to get the best out of him as Swindon did a couple of seasons ago, he will score. Given the banter on here with 'Wall fans, what price he & they having the last laugh as he scores the winning goal for the 'Wall on his return to ER?
Paynter was lucky at Swindon to have C Austin up front with him when Paynter did score a few, all the defenders were to worried about Austin and that`s why Paynter scored. Apart from that season he was crap and still is!
Scored loads of Pennos that term as well. Massive mistake signing him, but we could have the last laugh if he ends up at the wall! That being said, surely he wont get anywhere near there first team either, surely Millwall arent that bad?
Ker-ching,tickets please,next stop Bermondsey,hold tight please,ding ding,this is your stop Mr Paynter
