Newcastle's class of 2012 have the chance to emulate their predecessors of 1985 and 1989 by lifting the Milk Cup Premier Section trophy, after making it through to tonight's final after a fourth victory in five days.

The young Magpies will hopefully have something left for the final at Ballymena Showgrounds, when they come up against a highly-rated Desportivo Brazil side.

They maintained their own 100% record by disposing of Dublin-based Cherry Orchard 3-0 on Wednesday night, following on from previous victories over Armagh (5-1), Benfica (6-0) and Ichifuna (5-2).

Kickoff is at 8.20pm and BBC2 Northern Ireland (Sky Channel 972) will provide live coverage.

Impressive results, ours for anyone who hasn't seen them were:

    4:0 win against Co. Fermanagh
    6:0 win against Pachuca
    3:1 win against CSKA Moscow
2:0 win against Bolton (should've been 3:0 after Adam Campbell had to retake a successful penalty, 'cause apparently the keeper moved too soon - he missed the follow up)

This was the question raised by everyone on the Newcastle side...All seemed very strange, but we won regardless!

Actually looks like it will be on iplayer - can choose BBC2, select the region as NI and then watch live, the Milk Cup is scheduled!

How do you change the region on i-player? I found the Milk Cup site but it says you can view in Northern Ireland only and when I go in, it's BBC2. Not NI version.

Yeah I think I got ahead of myself, I can see it but all I get is Coast on normal BBC when I click on it. Pretty much given up on searching for a solution now ;(
