Dai, Let's hope your wrong about Ash, but Sinclair can go, he's easily replaceable, not worried at all, though the way things are going, half our team will end up at Anfield at this rate! Enjoy Dai..................
Nope, our academy is far from '****' Helped run by two ex-Barca coaches who have helped bring through the likes of Messi, Iniesta, Valdes, Pique & Fabregas in the last 10 years. Underwent a complete change in recent years and we now have younger players who are very highly thought of within the club and in their respective age categories for their country. Take Suso who was one of the standout players in Spain's recent Under 19's success in the European Championships.
Could someone remind me who is the "massive" club & who are the "minnows". I`m getting a bit confused because there are some Liverpool fans on RAWK who want to buy Allen for £10 million & loan us Henderson for the season. The reasoning behind this is that we can teach him how to play proper football, then return him home a much better player. This is a player who cost them, was it £16 million. £16 million for someone who can`t, allegedly, play "proper football". Makes you think, does`nt it.
Because he can't ,he's been found out already ,they've played couple of friendlies and with the training sessions he's realised what a task he has on his hands. He didn't develop our players ,just made use of the system and brought in good players who slotted in ,the difference is now he's starting from scratch which is something else all together
"Scratch" .... the mysterious ingredient in any endeavour ... only the best can cook from "scratch". BR must be scratching his head.
Who says he won't? The lads from the academy are relatively young (17 & 18) so playing them week-in, week-out could result in burnout and a loss of form throughout the season. As is normally the case with many younger players. I suspect they might get some game time in the earlier rounds of the domestic competitions/Europa League. - Back onto the Allen situation, I can understand both sides of the situation. Obviously Allen is a player Rodgers have already worked with and rates highly so you can understand why he would want to bring him to Liverpool. But on the other hand, the written agreement that was put in the contract when we hired Rodgers as our manager changes the situation. If that agreement is there, I would, personally, be slightly disappointed that he is going for him. We, as a club, should be honouring that agreement. So I can understand why your chairman sent out the strongly worded statement about the speculation. Anyway, that's my view on it all.
Rodgers had a pretty smooth running machine when he came to Swansea . Liverpool are a bit broken down ( by they're standards ) & Rodgers has better tools now ..... we'll see what kind of mechanic he is .
Thanks for the comment, appreciated. However, read through this board and I think you'll find that the majority of us are livid ... we passed dissappointed a couple of weeks ago .... and yet the interference continues.
And to be fair, I can understand why a lot of you are angry at the situation. If it was the other way round, i'm sure a few of us on the Liverpool board wouldn't be too happy either! I do think that money will talk in the end. Despite the agreement that was put into place, if we came in with an offer which met the value Laudrup and your chairman have of the player (Rumoured to be around £15M?) and Allen wants to move, the transfer will probably happen. It's the not the best way of conducting the transfer dealings especially after agreeing the player protection clause. (Think that's what your chairman called it.)
Angry? 15 mill and u can have him if he wants to leave. There is no point in keeping a player who has had his head turned.
We don't know that Joe definitely wants to leave. His head might be turned, but doesn't mean he wants to go. Rodgers has shown so little respect for our club, while Joe is out with GB. Laudrup hasn't even had a chance to get to know Joe before, "Once a Jack, always a.......!!" & his cronies are circling!!! No scruples at all. Also I forgot. Good on Huw & the board!!! "REAL JACKS...."
Hopefully he will have learnt a lesson from Leons trip to Sheffield. The grass ain't always greener...
Just heard from a very reliable source that an offer has been made (no news there I know) he won't be leaving based on the current offer, but if it's increased he's off. I think we can wave goodbye
Feel sorry a bit for the genuine Liverpool fans out there. Their club seems to be guilty of breaking a written agreement within no time of it being written. Imagine the embarrassment they must be feeling. Liverpool FC champions of Europe 5 times stooping to an all time low. Can you imagine the likes of Shankley and Paisley behaving like Rodgers is doing ? I would have given Rodgers a decent reception back at the Liberty but not anymore, he can go and fcuk himself.
I read they need to offload Carroll for £20 million before offering the £15 million for Allen...so doesnt look like Allen will be going anywhere as who would be stupid enough to pay £20 million for Carroll!!! Personally I would be happy with £15 million for Allen, yes his passing accuracy is high, but it helps having a team around him that can find space, will he get that at Liverpool?? I just hope if he does go for that money then he doesnt go to Liverpool.... if £15 million gets accepted, I can see one of the current 'big 5' taking a gamble on him and he will soon forget about Liverpool and their twat of a manager!...rumours are Spurs are sniffing around.
