Really think Lampard had an outstanding season just gone? I dont personally. But see what you mean with past seasons, but the dynamics of the team is changing. I dont think we will need to rely on the lampard goals all season long, if we do, then we are screwed cause in my opinion theres nobody better at what lampard does in the world (granted he needs the players to cover him) without his goals, he is only a good Central Midfielder (just my opinion) which is why i think he is easy replaced. Terry is irraplaceble (spelling?) as far as im concerned. he is as good now as he has ever been if not better and one of the best in the world, we couldnt replace makalele we cant replace terry. Times are a changing at the bridge. I cant even see how Lampard will get in the team! (I sound like im hating on Lamps, but i think he is the most unique midfielder going and world class)
I don't think Lampard had a great season last year but...he was dropped for large periods and we also had our worst league position post Roman. Therefore if we are to challenge for the title, we need players to step up and put in the constant top line performances that Terry, Lampard and Drogba did in our title winning seasons.
I suppose your right there. I just hope lampards passing speeds up dramatically thats my only concern but with games im sure it will! Am i the only one thats glad sulky Drogba has moved on? Not denying he is an amazing player... but the diving, crying, whineing i felt gave the club a bad name and was not attractive to watch. He could have been twice the player still if he stood up and didnt throw his toys out the pram every 30 seconds.
FIFA and EUFA will soon discover what wiser heads already know. You cannot legislate to make everyone equal.
I'm only glad he's moved on in that the timing was perfect for everyone concerned. But as a player and as a man, the guy was class. Yes he did a bit of rolling around now and then but mainly he saved that for the likes of Barca (serial cheats when things are going against them) and it was never as prolific as some would have you believe. I don't think it would be possible to be twice the player he was, probably the best ever striker of his ilk even with the play acting.
Save your insults until they've proven themselves in the cut and thrust of the league. Is that too much to ask? I'm a first class honours' Cambridge University graduate, so I cannot be too stupid, can I? Or does the fact that you drive a white van automatically make you a smart guy?

Did i even say that? Exceptional costs: (a) £28 million – £15 million termination payments for Ancelotti and his staff plus around £13 million compensation to Porto for AVB; (b) £7.4 million – impairment of player registrations; (c) £6.4 million – payments to HMRC to settle the industry wide investigation into taxation of image rights.
