First team I reckon santon, with a season under his belt I'm expecting big things from him this season.
It's scary to thnk how good cabaye could be this season also, having a great first season in the PL.

Seconded. All these extra games will be a blessing for our younger fringe players and I think he can show himself to be very apable already this season.

Even though he's not really an unknown player or anything, I think Marveaux will be a big hit next year. If he stays away from injury he could really do the business.

I think Amalfintano could also impress.

Bigirimana looks canny but one that will talk a couple of seasons to shine.

Assuming we're excluding the likes of Cabaye, Ben Arfa + Cisse as 'rising stars', then I'd go for Santon. Think he'll get more games than Abeid. Marveaux could come good too.

    This!

Marveaux looked good last year, but was unfortunate, I know he's real talent. The younger two Tash mentioned look like younger versions of Cabaye and Tiote, so we should be ok for young talent.

Gosling doesn't inspire confidence just yet, in my opinion, but Perch was hardly an instant hit!

I'd almost forgotten about Marveaux which somewhat proves your point, he'll be like a new signing.

Looks promising during his brief cameos. <ok>

Yeah I was really impressed by him, but maybe that's because he came on for Obertan and looked amazing by comparison...

Marveaux is very small, whereas Obertan's head is very far away.

    Santon.

But I also feel that Gosling, if he gets the chance and things come right for him, could be a big happy surprise.

I'll refrain from picking Marveaux until he proves his body can withstand 2 straight games of football.

I personally think James Tavernier. Got rave reviews wherever he went on loan, is getting more of a look-in in pre season and appears to be pretty versatile which will come in very handy.

Santon ..the guy just oozes class when on the ball, if carver et al get the defensive side bashed into him and his confidence remains good ..this will be his year to shine

Mini-chiek looks the real deal too ..but hard to tell on only a couple of friendlies

Have to say alot of the youngsters look good, and seem on the cusp of begining to fully realise thier potential.

Aside from Abeid, Sammy and Amalfitano have looked sharp in pre-season. Vuckic, in comparison, has been a tad disappointing.

Abeid - I think he is the man thats going to shine, i think he is excellent and a cut above the rest
Sammy - Impressed me in pre season but dont think this is his season, maybe season after
Amalfitano - Wasnt really impressed but its only pre-season and carr must have seen something decent
Vuckic - I havent been impressed, personally i would loan him out again and if unsuccesful get shot
Bigirimana - looks really good, defo a mini Tiote, i think a few seasons he will be fantastic
Gosling - Dont really rate him that much, i think this season he will hold Abeid back
Fergie - Puts a bit weight on he will be excellent

if any of the big clubs are still sniffing after Vuckic i'd happily sell him. Must be way back in the pecking order imo
