Greg Halford took to the social networking site Twitter shortly after training today to reassure fans over his position within the club's future â and his willingness to do whatever it takes to keep the club going. He tweeted: âI think the majority of Pompey fans know I'm willing to do anything I can to help the club and keep it living, but for the people who are asking me to tear up my contract need to know that I'm more than willing to that. âBut if I do it leaves the club in a worse situation - the best thing for me to do for the club is to try and get a fee from another club for my services ad pay of outstanding debts instead of making even more debts for the club. âIts been the hardest thing I've ever gone through and it kills me to see the club like this but that's how it stands at the moment. I love this club and I want to see it survive. Play Up Pompey.â
I've been following him on twitter for a long time now. He has been completely honest all the way through and has always treated Pompey fans with a great deal of respect.
As much as I understand what he is saying, it still sounds more of a cover so that he is entitled to his ££££
Really ? .....and there's me thinking he was being open and honest and supportive of the Pompey fans - still, what do I know compared with a Southampton fan eh ?.........
First tweet: Some people are brain dead and clueless. Second tweet: How can people expect to be treated with respect when the show no respect to others! Treat people the way u want to be treated.
It's in response to that moronic Wolves fan that's been giving him abuse (I believe). In my head, I like to believe he is actually talking about Kitson
Oh thanks Jake - the problem with twitter is you only get bits of conversations half the time. Brighton 1 goal up so far.
Yep - didn't take them long. Don't like to think what the final score will be - just hope it's not double figures.
