In light of the recent revelation that some posters don't enjoy reading posts about tits, ****s, lesbians and the like, I propose a high brow thread where we can discuss the world's most important issues. Will we cure AIDS? Will we find peace in the Middle East? Are we a result of an explosion millions of years ago or the result of a mythical being creating a planet one week in his spare time a few millennia ago? Will we find a formation to accommodate Taarabt, Hoilett and Park?

    Merry posting you intellectuals you.

You're missing the point. I'm keen for the board to stay as full of smut as possible without the faux intellectuals pontificating in our unimportant talks of farting, belching, fellatio or whatever. A highbrow thread allows the elite amongst us to discuss the key global issues while the rest of us can continue discussing whether Clare Balding prefers anal beads or vibrators in peace.

We were discussing the 7 wonders of the ancient world with my kids earlier and whether the hanging gardens of Babylon had any basis in fact

    Very interesting

Pretty much this, although I'd swap Taarabt and Hoilett around.

My only concern would be how Cisse, Zamora and Johnson will cope with competing for one space.....

i was merely answering the one question in the OP that I felt I could have a bash at. How will we find a formation to accommodate Taarabt, Hoilett and Park? But I shall add them now...

Just messing Coldharbour, interesting that you have Nelson as our starting CB though, reckon he can do a real job for us aside from 'providing experience' as Hughes and co put it? Personally I'd still have Hill in there, he proved his worth at CB last season and has played there during the two pre-season games so far...

As for the attacking options, I think I'd swap Tarbs and Hoilett, so Tarbs is sitting just behind the centre-forward which would be Cisse over Zamora for me. I'm just loving the potential goal threat of those two (Taarabt and Cisse) on top form!

No - however AIDS will go away, because there's always something people will do to each other, or will do to themselves, that will create the environment for something else / something worse to occur. There won't always be AIDs, but there will always be something that kills.

With the crossing points of pretty much all the world's major religions centered on a few hundred square miles of land? No. people have been killing each other there for thousands of years, and won't stop because of politicians.

Define 'mythical'.... and you completely forgot the 'third way' - that is a creative force behind the natural creation and evolution of the galaxy and life on Earth.

Now you are getting ridiculous, unless you want to play Hoilett in goal.
