It's all going quiet on the news front so just wondered what everyone's favourite or most effective substitution has been during a game for any team? Mine still has to be bringing Le Tiss on at the last game at The Dell ever and him scoring that screamer to help come from behind and beat the Arsenal 3-2; I had a tear in my eye that day-remarkable! What are your favourite substitution memories?
John Hewitt - Aberdeen v Real Madrid - ECWC Final - scored the winner. And he did the same in the QF v Bayern Munich.
It's gotta be Linvoy Primus coming on against Sunderland at home in 2009 which was his last game for the club. He got a huge cheer when he came on and a massive cheer every time he touched the ball. I think he made a good tackle as well which got a huge cheer. My friend who's an Ipswich fan was pretty amazed at the reception for Linvoy. Good times (and coinicedently the last time I've seen us win in person apart from the Women's team in April). Shame he was later treated so badly by the club.....
Can't really argue with that. A couple of others that stick in the memory: Marian Pahars away at Bradford in...2000(?) Forte vs MK Dons James Hayter(?) for Bournemouth - 140 second hat-trick
