Since you all (Obi) so enthusiastically called for it, here it is, the chance to pick the worst bit of business of our Premier League Generation Managers. The "worst bit of business" can be a signing (most likely, looking at a list of the stinkers we've had), selling someone good on, passing up the opportunity to sign someone, or simply a generally hopeless managerial boob etc...

Kevin Keegan (1992-1997): I'd love it if he'd just shut up and won the league, love it!
Dogleish (1997-1998): Sold Beardo (among others)!
Ruud Gullit (1998-1999): Dropped Shearer, lost to Sunderland... Booooooob!
Sir Bobby (1999-2004): If you're going to sign an injury prone version of Cameron Jerome for a massive fee, get his name right, Carl Cort! Haha
Souness Grrrr (2004-2006): Soooo many things, let Ambrose go, let Bellamy go, let Robert go... What a penis... But Boumsong? Lord give me strength, someone has got to have the extra amount you saved by not loosening the purse strings of power on this traffic cone! £8 million quid after HALF a decent season at Rangers, who got him for peanuts! Brentford's strikers tore him apart in the Cup!
Glenn Roeder (2006-2007): He kept playing this young kid called Matty Pattinson, who seemed as obviously short of talent to me as he was of hair...
Fat Sham (2007-2008): Xisco... Whatever/whoever this is!
Kevin Keegan (2008-2008): Tempting to say he spat the dummy out, but closer to the truth was he didn't see the wisdom of Mike's ways, which I'm pretty sure was in line with our reactions. So it has to be the 8 games it took to get a win, though he looked to still have decent managerial skill after that.
Joe ****ing ****ing ****hole bastards Kinnear (2008-2009): "Insomnia" <laugh>
Alan Shearer (2009-2009): Coming in and failing, though it seemed somewhat inevitable but a public dispute with Joey probably didn't help!
Hughton (2009-2010): Can't think of a signing that went too bad, though Perch was shocking at first! So I'll go with the fact he didn't use a sub until the 89th minute of a game, and even then it was Nile Ranger!
Pardy-babe (2010-now): Apart from refusing my sexual advances, I'd say he didn't quite have them as stoked up for the derby games as Chris had the season before, though he was undoubtedly more consistent overall.

    Now we're talking.

This will need some serious consideration and major research within the Jedi Archives. Meditate on this I will. A solution I will post tomorrow (well today - but much later).

    Good shout, that!

I had such faith Hugo would turn out so well, but no. Suppose he wasn't really suited to the premier league.

Not one of his best decisions.

    Off now, night.

I don't think it's fair to blame Allardyce for Xisco, considering Allardyce had left the club about 8 months before Xisco came in.

Hughton's biggest mistake was letting the team manage themselves. It's ultimately what cost him his job.

Bobby - Fumaca. Letting him grace St James just wasn't right!

Who was in charge when Matty Pattison was allowed to leave?

The big-boned are criminally under represented in the Premier League, I saw him as an ambassador of sorts, biggest mistake letting him go in my opinion.

I know it was Roeder who signed him from us when he went to Norwich! <laugh>
He must have really rated him!

He'll probably score a lot of own goals against the red and white stripes.

Anyone remember when MattyP had Owen run into his shoulder and almost knocked him out?
I think he went back to SA after Norwich to a rugby side!
