Todays bet comes from the Formula 1 in Germany, where the rain yesterday caused plenty of issues for the Mclaren pair. As such they start lower on the grid than what the car is capable of in dry conditions and I think Lewis Hamilton is the driver to be with today. He has shown that he is able to get the tyres to work and if he gets a clear start (ie get nowhere near Maldonado) then I think we will see him charging up through the field. He is currently 10/1 to win the race. (also note that the Red Bulls are under investigation - could shake up the grid even more)
Dex i think Scott can hold on but if the wind gets up it will certainly test his nerve with the driver. He isnt the most accurate on the tour with his driver, but all you have to do is get it right for 4 days in a Major, and then its happy days...!!! G-Mac has a good chance, as will Tiger, but 4 shots is a massive lead to claw back. It will be interesting to see what happens if G-Mac can get to within 2 shots say in the first 6-7 holes... It will be good watching... I have 33/1 e/w on G-Mac winning it, so i have slight vested interest...
Nowt to do with horseracing, so, while I start the first of my early pints, I hope members won't mind my mentioning the Tour de France. God forbid any Ibsen-like tragedy today but, regardless, huge compliments to the Sky Pros for a terrific team performance. Memories include Chris Froome's constant urging and encouragement to Brad Wiggins and Chris's own great performances, Brad's late burst of speed to set-up Mark Cavendish for Friday's incredible stage win, Mark's 'water bottle carrying for his teammates' (from a World Champion in own right!), the pelaton waiting for Cadel Evans to catch-up after having his bike's tyres punctured by a brainless moron who scattered tintacks on the road, and many more. Damn shame there was the odd incident of suspected drug-taking (although the Luxembourg rider is fully entitled to a hearing on this diuretic business?), but it's a lot better I reckon. Now to a decko at the hosses! GL to day everyone, if you're having a go! (P.S. to Oddy: Best of luck if you do go to Hoppegarten today; back all the winners! Must check on München-Riem and go when there's a decent Group race on. It's a very fair left-handed track, must say).
Henri Parry Morgan is a knocking each way bet at 15/2 in the Market Rasen bumper. Successful bumper connections. One horse to beat in the very short priced favourite who I got beat at 4/7 with a Hendo horse a couple of months ago so I want to take it on again at evens. If there's any money for my selection it could be very telling because Bowen has a nice line through the favourite with Azure Fly.
UP , ,WAS and Chicago for me today in a patent Still in with a small shout in the golf to with Zach Johnson @66/1 E/W
Ladbrokes go 9/2 for Was. That tells you what they think of the Epsom form. That said though, she did it practically from the front that day and I think will have come on a great deal from her defeat to Princess Highway. Really good clash between the three principles today. I think Festive Cheer can see off the favourite in the Irish opener (really well bred) and I fancy UP to spoil the Weld Party by turning over their promising CAPONATA.

UP, Great Heavens and Smoker in singles, doubles and trebles Quick question guys - i took 8/1 in laddies earlier for smoker, now the Fav has been taken out, my horse is 5/2 - With the R4 now applied to my bet would i of been better off with the 5/2 now, or the 8/1 with the R4 (provided it wins of course?!)
