Watching liverpool last night - almost like watching the swans Personally, wanted the style of play to win, but BR to lose The Premiership will be a better spectacle with more teams playing this style
Liverpool are destined to fail initially. Whether Rogers gets the time to turn that around is anyones guess
Hope ML instills the same work ethic as BR - hunting in packs; 7 secs win-back - as Liverpool are clearly emulating BR to lose
You all hate us at the moment because we nicked your manager and that is understandable. And you want him to fail, which is also understandable.. But, we have some very good young players who are on the fringe of the first team who maybe going out on loan this year.... And where is the best place for them to go? Somehwere that plays a similar style. If players like Sterling/Suso go out on loan I hope it is to Swansea.......Youll be loving Liverpool then I promise ya.
Dont Think we need any youth from you mate, Ask josh mceachren! Englands brightest couldnt Get into our team and when he did he was ****! If These boys Are so good then you should be screamig at rodgers to use them and not replace them with a youth from swansea! I got no problem with Liverpool,i like the posters on here but rodgers stalking the swans for players is what is pissing people off the most, in fact many thought he was gonna struggle hælt second season and were glad he left!
I,ve no problem with Liverpool at all and have a great deal of respect for all that they've achieved but at the moment I'm getting a little bit cheesed off with Rodgers comments regarding our players ,thats not being bitter as he made his choice and good luck to him in that respect . In my opinion we've brought a manger in who could not only keep us in the PL but make us sustainable at this level and therefore I think we've had the better deal .But if I was Liverpool I would be a bit concerned that his only targets appear to be our present or ex players . I am aware that Liverpool have a very successful Academy (although we did beat them last season ) and if he is being given time to have the side play the way he wants them to ( no CL position this year ) perhaps nows the time to start to bring some of the youth through.
I agree with Norway & Bony, I have always liked Liverpool & thought that Rodgers left here a bit too early for you, but that`s his choice. In a year or two`s time the offer might not have been there, so he had to take it really. Now he`s LIVERPOOL`S manager, he should focus his attention on the team that he manages. He should stop spouting his drivel about Swansea, he`s not our manager anymore and he should get over it. After all, he`s gone to a much bigger team, so I don`t understand why he seems to be keeping on about this, much smaller albeit a minnow of a team.
A bit on Borini/Rodgers that I found: http://www.lifesapitch.co.uk/opinions/borini-liverpools-tiki-taka-catalyst/
There is a lot of sour grapes showing by my fellow jacks that is making them look like a 10 year old that has lost his dummy.....Look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are hoping rodgers fail....its pathetic and so childish......rodgers has moved to a bigger club that he has always said his ultimate goal was and because of what he achieved with us the oppertunity came earlier than expected and he was right to take the job...He was the bee's knees as our manager and now you want him to fail. If you cant understand why he took the liverpool job then there is something wrong with you and are as bitter and twisted as any sad person...and i pity Mr laudrup when he moves on as he will become public enemy no1.....nobodies died ffs.. sad very sad
exactly. The thinking is that if we loan people anywhere we should loan to a team that plays the same style as us (or we play the same style as haha). McEachren's problem was attitude... Sterling busts a gut on the left and Suso is a mercurial talent (these Spaniards, eh).
Nobody is denying Brenden that job Dai, it was way to good to turn down,we all know that the Liverpool job is one of the biggest. Good luck to him, but dont be a sneaky c&nt and say one thing then do another!1 especially to a club that took him off the scrap heap and gave him his chance. If he wanted to sign all of our players(which by all accounts is not far off the mark) at least have the balls to be up front about it and stick the knife in like a man, using the media to indirectly unsettle our players is something that we as a club deserve better from . Dont think im not happy for him in his new job, he did well for us. I have had no issue with him, even when he stiffed us over siggy(who was fair game as he wasnt our player) but going for one of our players and disregarding the agreement made is whichever way you slice it disrespectful to our club, fans and chairman.
Bloody hell Mrs Browns thicker feckin son don't half talk some sh*t. We don't need your players we don't need you on our board , you boring little tike !
There have been many from liverpool that think sending their youth to us will be doing us a favour, im not sure if they are being arrogant or not but i really cant see any of them making a big difference to how we play, if they could do a job for us,then surely they can do that same job for Brenden ?? he obviously hasnt liked what he has seen in pre-season, hence the panic to get one of our youth players on board up there
Haha our preseason is in it's infancy, our youngsters did very well against Toronto (pity about some of the senior staff). It's not arrogance, we have some genuinely very exciting players coming through for the first time in a long time. If you watched any of the U19 Euros you'll have seen Suso - he was the star of Spain's victory. Sterling I think everyone knows about now (perhaps for off the field reasons ). Dani Pacheco was great for Norwich and decent at Rayo Vallenco, and appears to be turning a corner - he had the world at his feet, seemingly, two years ago. The pressure at Liverpool is (again not being arrogant here) greater, the competition and attention from the media etc higher. I don't think you'll be subject to the pressure of a relegation fight. Loan deals could benefit both sides, and I'd be very surprised if there's not a loan option in the Allen deal (if the Allen deal exists). There is the counter argument that our young players could get game time in the Europa league though.
surely if they are any good then their place is to be moulded into brenden s way of thinking at liverpool ?? its not like Liverpool are in the top 6 right now so it should be the perfect time to blood the talent, sending them to swansea will not benifit us or them
It's an interesting question, I'm pretty split myself. I'd like to see Sterling in particular get a fair amount of minutes this season, which he won't get at Anfield unless we have an injury crisis or he is on red hot form. He plays on the left, and that's where Suarez is going to play, in all likelihood. With Dempsey, Borini and Downing, and probably another signing in the other wing positions it'll be difficult. Of course, Sterling has the talent and deserves chances at our club, and as you say, we're not what we were, but we're probably paying Downing a lot of money comparatively. If he doesn't play he'll be a marginally bigger waste of space than if he was. That said, there is always Europa League games, a competition in which you travel to the edges of civilisation until the semis. Also, two things; Aren't there rumours about Sinclair being a 'contract rebel'? Think he owes you a season or two but it would be typical of modern football if he looked for a move. Secondly, and this is probably a stupid question that I should just google... but why are you called 'jacks'?
Sinclair is waiting for Brenden to make the first move!! many beleive he wont be here at the start of the season. He is very much Brendens boy and played/started alot of games when his form was patchy, for me wayne routledge was a saint for not throwing his toys out of the pram because Brenden would put scott in the team regardless of how good others did. Jacks? google it, it varys from people to people, a life saving dog that used to live around the dock area and would jump in to rescue people in distress and was awarded the honour of being the only dog to win 2 vc medals or something like that !! the other story is that it came from a term used for our sailors, who were thought to be very highly skilled at their job, a swansea "jack" could walk onto any ship and get work based on their reputation for being great sailors and hard workers . Im sure other "jacks" can offer more info but thats the basic jyst of it
