Oh I appear to have entered the transfer speculation list ... Now this player would be very good for us IMO Yannick Sagbo
Nope he is a striker and he is very good In effect we would have a strike force that would be outstanding: Here is his finishing ... really hope this comes off
We need to get rid of the English from our team .. French speaking players only ... Note we are collecting a few until we of course start producing our own in around 15 years Viva la France
Oh see what you mean i saw it on Sky yesterday: IMO Him and Cisse would be a excellent partnership http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/7920179?
Duke William of Normandy had that idea!! Happened too.............for a while. English triumphed though..................as always!!
I can't see DJ Campbell being involved .. one of Northolt's favourites (his Dudley) from the past and one I said wouldn't make it. I do not think that he has the movement and awareness required in the highest league. I have always liked Bothroyd to be fair and don't go along with the view he is lazy. The position that he and Zamora play is viewed as lazy if you don't score a couple of goals a game ... Bothroyd and Zamora often have to play a very disguised role mixing up runs and movements while trying to read the supply lines ... last season that was often because we have a giant tit playing in our midfield who orchestrated very little and concentrated on his own game and ego. A dis jointed midfield out of tune with the supporting striker is a a thing a lot miss. DJ ... basically in old money he is a goal hanger or to some a fox in the box He maybe one of these but sadly he has sarcoptic mange
Oddball, for Christ's sake don't compare Bothroyd to Zamora. Zamora did more for us in two games than Bothroyd did in the entire season. I like your idea of this new guy though. I don't know why everyone's screaming about signing defenders because that's clearly not where our problems lay last season. Our defence is grand as it is.
H E are you purposely trying to wind me up?!! That kind of statement is infuriating! (I've a feeling you might know that and posted it on purpose though) You're a football man so I can't understand how you'd come out with a statement as bad as that? Its as if you're saying, all goals against are solely down to the back four and all goals for are solely down to the midfield and strikers. What do you think would happen if you hand-picked the best set of defenders in the entire World and then put 4 of the worst part-time non-league players in front of them in midfield and a pair of lazy Donkeys like Hulse and Bothroyd up front for example? I'll tell you what. Carnage, that's what. The team would go through a 38-game season and be totally and utterly destroyed conceding probably over 100 goals in the process. Then you'd come along and blame the defence for the lack of clean sheets!!! Sorry mate, that just ticked me off a bit! The point I'm simply making is that as far as I could see, our defence last season was put under an enormous amount of pressure due to our mid-field being constantly overrun. Fix the mid-field and you'll soon see that our defence isn't actually that bad at all. Hughes obviously has seen this himself as he's been focusing mainly on mid-field since the window opened. That's not to say we shouldn't try and strengthen all areas of our team. Its just that its not where the weak link was.
The problem we have is we lose possession cheaply. How many games did we see last season where we couldn't string three or four simple passes together before losing the ball and being under the cosh. However, I do feel we need a commanding centre back to play alongside Anton and a natural right back not a 'convert' like Onuoha. That would give us the strength in depth we currently lack. Faurlin's clever use of possession should be a blueprint for the rest of the team to follow...
