TONY Fernandes has poured scorn on rumours linking Jamie Mackie with a move away from Loftus Road.

The Rangers forward has been linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers in recent weeks, but Fernandes - looking on in the victory over Kelantan stated:

'For all QPR fans we have no no no intention to sell him. He's a QPR man'

This will serve to ease the fears of many supporters that have already expressed concern over his potential departure from the side.

Mackie, signed from Plymouth Argyle in the summer of 2010, has made strides and impacts at every stage of his QPR career. He answered his sceptics early on with a flurry of goals to propel Rangers to the summit of the Championship before being sidelined with a double leg break at Blackburn.

Typical of the player, he came roaring back in style, scoring crucial goals at crucial times - specifically the diving header that put ten-man QPR in front against eventual Premier League champions Manchester City.

The heartbeat of QPR, many fans will be delighted to hear that the all-action number 12 will remain at Loftus Road.
