top 10 is what we should be looking for with the squad we have Everton seem to finish in the top 10 every season and I think our squad is possibly stronger than their team now

If we can get a decent centre half and right back there is no reason why top 10 shouldnt be in our reach at all. All we have to do is finish higher then the below teams Swansea Norwich Southampton Reading WestHam West brom Stoke Wigan Sunderland I think we can do that. Also throw Villa, Fulham in the list and we could finish 8th? Ill take 11th or 12th though for now

No matter how I try, I'm never comfortable with this kind of talk. Sure its possible and we'll no doubt give it our best shot but why can't we just - for once - talk ourselves down instead of up? That way we'll be able to go about our job in relative obscurity and if we over-achieve, it will be a pleasant surprise. Remember we finished 17th last Season lads. One step at a time.
Yes, it was 10 points last season. 10 points is a lot in the Premier League. The reason we finished with 37 and not 47 is because we were only good enough to get 37 and a number of teams were better. Next Season, a jump to 10th would be a massive step even if Oddball tries to play it down so that his 8th placed prediction last season doesn't sound so ridiculous.

Last season the majority on here, especially after the Goons non-spend, were happy to take 17th and we finished 17th. With the outlay on players vastly increased expectations have increased accordingly. A solid mid-table finish seems to be the majority this time and I'd say 10th-13th is by no means out of our reach. See who else is signed in this window and we'll have a realistic idea by then...
