Seems like the new Forest owners aren't going to "blow the fan's socks off" as much as they might have expected. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18919341 edit; sorry the title should be Sean O'Driscoll is the new Forest manager?
They have got a good man there. He worked onders at Bournemouth under a lot of financial pressure. He didnt do badly at Donnie either considering the owner wouldnt spalsh the cash until after he had sacked him. I think he will do very well there with Coppel at his side with all his experience.
It just seems strange the way its gone from McCarthy to Darren Ferguson to Hoddle to O'Driscoll who was previously the Forest coach but apparently not good enough to be manager. I'll be interested to see what sort of ambition they now show in the transfer market considering the new owners have been touted as being rich enough to propel them back to the Prem.
Agreed. More likely to be a few hangings in Sherwood Forest. From Mad Mick - Sven - Glenn Hoddle - HARRY - even Billy Davies, appointing Sean O'Driscoll is not what Forests fans were hoping for. Also, it drops Crawley Town in the brown stuff with less than 3 weeks to go. It can only happen in football.
It hasn't gone down well at all over in Nottingham! The Florists have spent the last couple of weeks dreaming of Harry Redknapp and a 20 million pound transfer budget for the summer. McCarthy didn't want it as the new owners wanted too much involvement in the football side. Forest this season is an accident waiting to happen.
Respect to Mad Mick. That must have been one hell of a big contract he just **** on, walked away from all that money because the terms wern't right... How can he walk away from that amount of cash? Simple, because he's already ****ing loaded. Lessons for players to learn here, take a page out of Micks book some of them should...
Was suprised to see the florists appont O'Driscoll after the names which had been mentioned for the job. Don't think it's a name which will 'blow their socks off'.
