With the signings you've made, i can see you at least in the top 10 this season, i hope you look after Fabio while he's out on loan from United.
True but look at Newcastle, everyone had them down to go straight back down to the championship but they finished 5th only to miss out on champions league football, its possible.
IMHO, if we finish top 12 then i will think that solid progress will have been made. Anything is possible of course, but Rome was not built in a day. Last season we had such a small squad and could not cope with the injuries/suspensions loss of form etc. MH did not have the players to change systems/formations and we looked very one demensional at times. This year, MH is building a squad of players that will give him options across the field. It's very exciting times at QPR. I have never known anything like it before at our small club. We need to keep our feet on the ground and not loose the run of ourselves.
Agreed. United fan, stop bigging us up because that's the last thing we need. Around 14th-ish is good solid progress.
Sorry, you've done very well to get the players you've wanted this summer, this time last year you wouldn't of got Park but it shows you've made progress.
Good point. We have been treated very badly as fans for the last number of years. Given our recent history we are slow to trust and don't expect too much. Baby steps and you can't fall. Think we will be ok this season, but you won't find too many QPR fans expecting too much too soon.
Cheers mate, its appreciated. Its just that we've enough head-bangers on here that'll have us down to finish way up table and romp to the Cups an' all. The more we talk ourselves down - the better. How about you lads? Can't see past City myself to be honest. 2nd place should be yours though.
I can see us winning the league next season, our players will be hurting from last season there's no doubt about that and with the new signings we've made and possibly more to come, i can see us enteratining the neutrals and everyone else.
the thing is, you've signed players with potential ( Fabio and Diakite although he was on loan with you ) and players that have experience and won the premier league and champions league ( Park and Nelsen ) if you can get one more defender in i can see you finishing top 10 or 11th at least, then build on that and possibly get europa league football but you will ened a big squad to do that.
Thanks, and i can honestly see us winning the league next season, the battle for 4th place will be interesting next season.
yeah.or some other Hitchcock film.Have got visions of Oddball dressed as Anthony Perkins in Psycho now!
Top 10 is possible but it will take some of our players to have the season of their lives. We have a little depth in our squad of good quality. Mackie was one of our few shining lights of last season, and if he stays he can fill in if Hoillett (one of the league's stars last season) gets injured and same with Park, whom as you very well know can perform in the big matches. So our squad can adapt for all sorts of games and systems and that's pretty much invaluable in any league in world Football. We probably need a CB and a CM and our squad is complete. I think most QPR fans would be just satisfied with survival again this season, I know I would be. We all expect the worst even in times of success, with good reason. The only time ive been impressed by Fabio is when hes played Left wing for yous (which is not too often), hes not that much better (if even) than Traore in my opinion. Hes still quite young though, and Fergie must see something in him.
