    That's pretty underwhelming in terms of a 'big name' or however they worded it. Expecting a relegation battle ?

    Thought I heard they were After Ericsson this afternoon, bet the forest fans are over the moon, from maradona to Driscoll. Tbf I think he is a good manager

    I don't think O'Driscoll is a bad manager, but I think the word the new owners used when describing what they were looking for was 'icon'.

    I thought we should have gone for him, I really rate him.

    They never went for Sven, he just said he'd be interested in the job if it was offered.

    No idea what happened with Hoddle, the talk was that the job was his if he wanted it.

    The correct short form for Nottingham Forest is Nottm Forest. It is just as easy to type an "m" as it is to type an "s" :)

    Notts is the abbreviation for Nottinghamshire

    Nottm is the abbreviation for Nottingham

    There are two football teams in Nottingham;

    Notts County (That is their actual name) and Nottingham Forest.

    Anyone still confused? :)

    Great manager, plays football in the right way, would of being a great fit for us really if we continued the way Barmby played. However a good choice by Forest to, i swear he was just appointed manager for someone in League One wasn't he? Crawley i believe? Either way certainly a step up for him.

    Owners with a turn over of 3.8 billion a year, promising a £20m fund for transfers surely they could have tempted a bigger name

    O'Driscoll is a good manager. Just not what I expected from an apparent 'Big Icon' announcement.

    According to a Forest fan...McCarthy rejected the offer because the new owners want to sign 5 Kuwaiti players! Bizarre but that's true apparently. Thought the job would be perfect for mad mick.
