Believe the club has been seperated into lots of different parts, ie deeds on training ground, Elland Road, property, etc, etc
Not to sound to pessimistic, but expect the worst here, i think Snodgrass will be going to Norwich, and we may possibly see Crofts come the other way.
Look guys, if this situation was handled better by Leeds, I wouldn't be so confident of him leaving you. First off, Warnock has come out and made the bid public, even though his reason for doing it was, because it was made public. Up until he said anything it was a rumour, so he could of just kept quiet, but as he thinks Snodgrass will leave, he wants a bidding war. When he did come out and say something, he could of said, Snodgrass is not for sale as we need him for this coming season. He didn't, he said "We'd like to keep Rob, and Rob knows that. Whether that will be possible we'll have to wait and see. "It's difficult when players get their heads turned, but I'd like to keep Rob at the club and that's what I'm trying to do at the moment. "Unless they come up with a valuation that the club thinks is satisfactory then that's what we want to do." I'm sorry but that sounds like an admission that he thinks he'll go if the right money is offered. He may well stay, and fair play to the lad if he does. However, it will be a surprise to me, Warnock, Snodgrass and others if he does.
No, Carra Rud, I just think Warnock is a knob and doesn't deal with situations well. I genuinely do not believe that Snoddy has decided he wants to go. He is holding out which is worrying but he has said he wants to captain Leeds to the prem but he needs to believe its a possibility. There has been no new news on that front
didn't howson say that? honestly, he might not come to norwich - i'm sure lambert will be interested too, but takeover or no takeover, you all know deep down that there is a very, very good chance snodgrass will be off this summer. no matter what you say about new money coming in, the real appeal is the premier league, and leeds cannot guarantee him that. norwich can. and no doubt you'll come back with some 'witty' comment about it 'only being for a year'... its a year more than you've got at this time. by the way, if you get crofts in part-exchange, that would be a good move for him. he's an excellent championship player, really good, but he's struggled a tad in the top flight. he's a typical warnock player though - hard graft, gets stuck in, eye for goal from midfield
As long as the takeover goes through I really don't care if Snodgrass decides to leave. As someone pointed out in another post, Snodgrass staying or Takeover going through? The second is far more important... I rate Snodgrass I really do but I can't help feel a few are rating him above his station. He shone in a very poor team that finished 14th, his lack of pace isn't a problem in the Championship would it be in the premier? I think it would... Their isn't a team in the land that doesn't know about Snoddy's situation but how many managers/teams have made a move for him? Interest from Norwich and only a hint of interest from Villa because Lambert went there. If he really was that **** hot wouldn't there be a lot more interested in him.
I don't believe that Howson did feel that way about Warnock. I'm not sure he may have said he was a knob but I don't really know why he'd bring it up in conversation, he left before Warnock came in
good post. anything to rid you all of ken bates is only going to be a good thing! interesting what you say about snodgrass not being wanted by other clubs - i think that's a surprise but it may well be because of his lack of pace. i think our only concern with him is a lack of pace, but he is skilful enough to cope i reckon. until they play at that level you don't really know if they can do it - he probably has doubts himself about whether he could! norwich is a club where young, talented players who have been ignored by the bigger clubs have thrived - it would be a logical move. we shall just have to wait and see if it happens or not but i think £3m for a player whose deal runs out is a very good offer and would be accepted. we got howson for less under similar circumstances. warnock acknowledged that snodgrass has an asking price - we just haven't met it yet.
Norwich fans Snoddy is the best player outside of the premier league and will be a great signing for you (if he stops his drinking) But to come over here and think we are that arsed you really need to look at the players that have left our club within the last 15 years Snodgrass and Howson are ****e compared to them
