And of course Watson for England (Dave Watson - Goalkeeping coach) It's an opportunity for Roy to try something else, I understand him being rigid for Euro2012 given how little time he had (and we did better than I thought we would, green shoots there with the Sweden game definitely) but now he's got to at least try some players out, try some systems out.
If there are any surprise inclusions it'll be because the usual suspects will mysteriously develop an injury that will clear up three days later just in time for the start of the season. I don't mean to be negative, but I can't see him doing anything new or radical with the team.
That's what a I mean though in friendliest we should try stuff out What is the point, for example, giving joe hart 90mins in a friendly? Everyone knows he's a great keeper, everyone knows we number one. By letting him play 90 minutes we gain and learn nothing. Same with outfield players, if we don't try things out in friendlies we won't know how to react to situations in proper matches.
I expect a lot of withdrawals around this time as clubs beg their players to be ready for the beginning of the season!
