    I doubt it, we wouldnt offer 5mil for cover, especially when he is about as good as Enrique. You couldnt have 2 class left backs then 1 good right back and no sufficient cover for him.

    The bloke who runs it just writes his own versions stories of whatever has been written in the press, occasionally dropping in 'the famous Newcastle United club' in to a sentence and - really annoyingly - using hyphens and italics all the time - when they're not neccessary. Still, saves me going on the Daily Mail website...

    Pardew has said that no deal has been done. I beleive that, but it just means that no contract has been signed. He also says that he wants Enrique to stay. I beleive that.

    He doesn't say that Enrique is not for sale or that he will be here next season. I expect that's because saying that would be lying.

    All these references to Carroll and analysing what Pardew said are a bit unfair. Carroll wasnt for sale, we even rejected 20mil+ from Spurs, 30 from Liverpool then even the original 35mil bid. But the fact is he asked to be allowed to talk to them so 35mil was excellent business for a player wanting out. If Pardew had said "Enrique is not for sale" people would just say thats what he said about Carroll. He wasnt actually for sale either but every player has their price.
