There's been some healthy discussion in this thread, obviously the subject is going to divide opinion, that doesn't mean we should shy away from the subject. The thread has also been spoiled on occasion because temperamental keyboard warriors feel the need to throw petty insults about. (look in the mirror now)

All I will say is that I doubt any of the footballers in the news lately are truly racist, just ****ing stupid overpaid egotistical twats with too much spare time. But what Rio endorsed was racist, only he's too thick to realise what the consequences would be, he's a role model ffs. I expect him to apologise and admit that the term "choc ice" isn't just slang for fake, trying to defend the tweet was very foolish. I fully expect him to acknowledge that.

Sorry mate but way off the mark. I didn't add this earlier but I'm mixed race, and being called a choc ice by another black man is an insult that on the streets of Jamaica would lead to server retribution and it has sweet FA to do with race. It's on par with someone gobbing in your face!
