Think you should edit re Hillsborough. No one can prove anything, it's unnecessarily provocative and will cause grief - and I'm not a L'pool fan.

I don't think I could rank all 20 in order of preference, but I do have a bit of a thing for United and Spurs. I don't really see why anyone would dislike United. I know they have a lot of part-time fans, but that's just a testament to their incredible success. They do things the right way, always trying to bring their youngsters through (who could hate the team that gave us Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, etc?), and Ferguson is the best manager in the history of the game. I'd much rather they win the title than some mental tycoon's hobby project.

Spurs just play very nice football, and I'll be a Bale fan wherever he goes.

Saints are my first love but I am also a bit of a closet Arsenal fan.

The team I always want us to really give a hiding to is Everton and that goes back to:

We hate Bailey and we hate Bailey. We are the Bailey haters.

You would have to be above a certain age to understand.

Hate Man United. This is because when I was a young lad just starting to get into football, everyone supported Manchester United and they were winning everything. I chose to support my dad's team (The Saints), although he wanted me to support my home team (Brighton). Saints were a Premier League team though and they had Le Tissier, so I was sold.

The team I like in the Premiership is Arsenal. When they were the invincibles, that is the best football I have ever seen, Henry was just majestic. Also Arsenal aren't United, Chelsea or Liverpool, which goes in their favour.

I dont hate any team or supporters in the premier league, but I dislike the power that billionaire owners wield, and the inequality they create - first Chelsea, and now Citeh. I know some would say that St Markus did that for us, but I genuinely believe that Nicola is building a sustainable model, and that our spending was relatively modest. This does colour my judgement somewhat.

personally, and I know this will cause a few ripples I have a secret soft spot for Man Utd, and I appreciate how good a manager Sir Alex is and he has remained true to his labour supporting roots despite his wealth! there I've said it! I feel liberated!

Going to be weird this year. I have spent 7 years not caring about the Premier League and watching games as a neutral - now every game will effect us. I think for no rational reasons I hate Spurs and Everton, and would love to see us, Norwich and Stoke do well.

Don't get me wrong I am ecstatic to be back in the Prem, but I will miss League 1 and the fleeting re-visit to the Championship!

Don't hate anyone but I find it irksome that so many here in Hampshire attach themselves to Manure and the Chavs! I tell them we have an excellent Premiership team down here that is worth supporting instead! It is always good to see other teams give them the odd "beating." I loved it when Bilbao turned Manure over twice last season.

I enjoy watching Arsenal because of the one-touch passing, although I have to respect Man U for the sheer consistency of their play.
Could I hate a team? Well, some teams may not play the most entertaining footy but they are often just playing to their strengths and making the best of what talents they have in their squad. It seems a very strange concept to "hate a football club." I really don't get that.

One could hate a person for directly or indirectly causing injury or death to others, but I doubt that any football fan actually hates another football club, in the truest sense of hate, unless there is irrational sectarianism tacked onto to it. Probably dislike, mild dislike, or even being nonplussed about a team is more in keeping, but you know football fans. Everything has to be brilliant or rubbish, with absolutely no room in between. Consequently, love and hate are separated by nothing at all except a trigger which leads to one or the other.

My slight bewilderment is how anyone can manage any sort of emotion for or against any team other than the one, they support. I've no doubt it's there in people, but I certainly can't be bothered to waste energy doing it myself.

I agree, I don't have any feelings at all about other PL teams. Always happy to watch a good game of football, but don't ever feel strongly for or against either team unless its Saints. I certainly don't see how you could rank PL teams based on how much you like them or not.

That Bailey thing actually started when he was at Blackburn and went with him went he went to Everton. Its amazing how often he was 'injured' and never played at the Dell.

In fact I think we ruined it for all Baileys as I can't think of a single Bailey playing at the top level since.

Favourites- I'll keep up the love fest for Norwich. Similar size club (till now), similar record in the last 30 odd years, some great games, and a decent set of fans(from what we've seen on here).Of course, if it's them or us....!
Also Swansea - lived there and loved it. They also play good football with no apparent huge "Stars", and they're my local team!

Least favourite- boring, I know, but it's got to be Man Utd. SO many lazy celebrity fans. Also the peer pressure at my son's WELSH school, to support Utd -I wouldn't have minded so much if it had been Cardiff(at least they were the local team)

I will always support any side playing against Liverpool, Tottenham or Chelsea, unless they are playing each other.
In general I will always support the 'smaller' against the 'larger' but now that we are back in the PL I will always support for the result that benefits the Saints the most.
