Afternoon, troops. Nothing for me today but Mr Henderson has made a very interesting entry on Saturday at old Market Rasen in the 17 furlong novice hurdle (4.00). FORGOTTEN VOICE was formerly with Jeremy Noseda and hasn’t been sighted since running in the 2010 Lennox Stakes at ‘Glorious’ Goodwood. A 4 time winner on the level, and rated as highly as 113 at one stage in that sphere, he has to be one of the highest class Flat horses to make the switch to hurdling in recent seasons.

The negatives though are obviously his time off the track and I never like supporting 7YO’s making their hurdling bow as that old adage ‘you can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ always springs to mind. However, I think both of these can be offset on this occasion given that Forgotten Voice is certain to have benefited from Mr Henderson’s magic hands, his inspirational training methods and the revitalizing effect that these are sure to have had. A very, very interesting entry and I keenly await his debut.

gaz, on these one i really think the best way is to lay them for the win and back them for a place. My feeling is that most think a place is possible so lump on e/w prices. Once you get close to that the plunge stops. So from following these think its a safe way to play them....just my view.

Oh, and good. Well done Derbyshire Police for investigating Rio Ferdinand. Same rules should apply regarless of race or origin and I hope they follow it though. If it was a white footballer they would have been lynched by now.

Sorry to here Famous. Thoughts are with your family

    2.30 Beverley

    Bogsnog 80/1

More than likely going to be tailed off but I think Linda Stubbs 2 year old is worth a small play at a huge price. On debut he finished a distant last of 10 but he broke slowly and was rather green that day at Kempton. However, he didn't seem completely devoid of talent and I think he'll come on a lot for that experience. The two main reasons I'm having a small play on him are that his trainer is in good form at present and she has a 23% strike rate with 2 YOs at Beverley, with this representing her only runner of the day. Tom Eaves takes the ride and has an 18% strike rate when riding Stubbs' 2 year old and although its asking a lot I'm playing small stakes at 80/1.

I actually have this fella notebooked from his flat debut and have thought 2 of his 4 flat runs were full of promise. He'll do better over further and I think his mark of 60 is a little high but I definitely think he'll be winning races.

hahahah, good idea Danbo. Would sort a few things out.

No one 1 on the list would be driving Bob Crowe on a lorry around the streets of london with something very small (all thats required) to cover his modesty while the public throw all their rotten food at them.

This would happen on a daily basis indefinately.
