    With Dyer & Sinclair's pace imperative to our game , we need another like them in case one is sold & Routledge doesn't fit the bill .

    Rumours....

    Dimitri Tarasov for aprox. £3 million;
    25 yr old 6ft 3&1/2 attacking midfielder currently playing for FC Locomotive Moscow.
    Laudrup apparently thinks he is the best player in the Russian League.

    Albert Adomah for £3.2 million;
    Speedster winger was apparently shown around Swansea on Monday. Southampton are looking to scupper this though.

    Giovanni Dos Santos for £4 million;
    This one is not going away and I for one would LOVE it, LOVE IT!!!, if this happened....we would then have depth at AM and LW.
    Has to be unlikely though, and rumoured to be big Spanish clubs sniffing around....even read that Villas-Boas likes him and wants him to stay.

    Jeffrey Bruma on a season long loan;
    This one makes loads of sense. Covers centre-half and left-back and would join 3 fellow Dutchmen here already.

    Morten Gamst-Pedersen for £2.5 million;
    Don't believe this one for a second. He's past it for me and has spent too long in a long ball team not scoring....also his age.
    Apparently we're interested because of his dead ball "skills".

    Kevin Doyle for £3.5 million;
    Would make sense if we could offload a striker or 2. About the right price for him as well, though I imagine he's earning too high wages in relation to his ability.

    Rumoured outs...

    Mark Gower to Charlton - (estimated fee ranges between £0 and £350k)

    Luke Moore to Barnsley - £750k

    Stephen Dobbie to Bristol - makeweight in Adomah deal (could get aprox. £1 million for him from a number of Championship clubs)

    Rory Donnelly on loan - Doncaster want him for 6 months, Wrexham for the season, and Aberdeen...allegedly.

    Gary Monk to Bristol City - possible makeweight in Adomah deal

    Ok let's pretend any of this were true for a second....

    I would;
    - Use Monk as the makeweight in the Adomah deal
    - Sell Dobbie for a million+
    - Invest the Dobbie money in Aberdeen's Fraser Fyvie with Donnelly going on loan as part of the deal
    - Sell Scott Sinclair £5-10 million
    - Buy Dos Santos £4 million
    - loan Bruma for season
    - Sell Lita and possibly Moore
    - Buy new striker, possibly Doyle but would prefer that Traore or similar
    - sell Gower

    Leaving the squad looking like...

    First XI

    ------------Vorm---------------
    ------Chico---Williams--------
    Rangel-----------------Taylor-
    -------Allen---Britton---------
    Dyer-----De Guzman--Dos Santos
    -----------Graham-------------

    Second XI

    -----------Tremmel------------
    ---------Situ-----Bruma------
    Obeng----------------Richards
    -------Fyvie---Agustien-------
    Adomah---Orlandi---Routledge
    -----------New Striker--------

    With Cornell, Tate, Lucas and Donnelly spare.

    A strong, trim squad.

    Maths:
    Assuming £15 million transfer kitty this year.
    Sell Gower, Moore, Dobbie and Lita for aprox. £3 million.
    = £18 million
    Sell Sinclair, now = aprox. £25 million

    Ins;
    Chico - £2 million
    De Guzman - wages probably = £4 million

    Proposed ins;
    Adomah - 3.2m
    Dos Santos - 4m
    Fyvie -1.5m
    Bruma - Loan

    = roughly £15 million
    Leaving us £10 million to sign the Russian or A. Another and a top drawer striker

    Simples :cheesy:

    Except our wage bill would be massive <doh><doh><doh>

    Another spurious rumour linking us to 26 year old Venezuala international, Nicolas Fedor (Nicolas Ladislao Fedor Flores).

    6ft 1 striker, came through at Valencia, sold to Getafe. Scored about 1 in 4 for Getafe and Venezuala....but seems to come good in big games.
    If this were true I'd imagine he would be back up or has exceptional hold up play in his locker.

    Apparently it`s a twitface thing, P J Cadden is a local journo who says it has substance, he was spot on with Michu, so who knows?. That info is from PlanetSwans, not my doing.

    This giuy also plays for Getafe, same team as Michu, so it could have legs.

    Not the first time we've had a Venezuelan play for us if it happens. Remember Savarese? He's now a respected coach in the MLS apparently.

    A rumour that us and Norwich are trying to loan Chelsea's Kevin De Bruyne.

    21 year old Belgium international who plays attacking mid and on the wing.

    Tentative link with Celtic's Victor Mugabe Wanyama (Kenyan). He's 21, 6ft 2" and plays defensive midfield but able to cover centre back as well. He's known for his good distribution and calmness on the ball and rumoured to be interesting Manchester City as one for the future.

    Don't think this is a goer myself but this is a "rumours" thread. It is said that ML rates him. How would he know, though?
