Makes me angry when fans get on the back of Guly...they don't do it when other players have off days. Sometimes games just don't go the way that suits certain players. Guly suffers from also being seen as versatile and being shifted about, rather than playing him in his best position which is just behind the striker. He is one of most skilled players and I hope he has a wonderful season in the PL.

I have high hopes for Guly this season. He is a game changer and in my opinion will adapt easier and quicker than Lallana. in my opinion anyone who says he is crap & lazy has a very limited knowledge of football and what particular individuals bring to the game, but that's just my opinion.

Hate the way Sky pronounce his name as Julie...going to hear a lot of that this season.

I too think he will slot into the prem quite comfortably, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has a very good season.

Agreed, Forte isn't up to much. He was out of his depth at Championship (hence why he never played). But I don't begrudge him those two quick fire goals he scored against MK Dons which gave us the platform to push on and get promotion.

He is my favorite player after Lambert. Guly and Hammond are very underrated.

Dare I say it but early doors I think we had some potential racists on here who didn't judge him on his skills? Could be wrong, but I had that impression because the same ones were slagging Puncheon as well, coincidence or what? However if JT is innocent......

They'll deny it - but if he was white we wouldn't have them slagging him off, they'd be heralding him like Lallana.

    Subconcious, covert.

Hope he gets to play as a central attacking midfielder this season - maybe alternating with Lallana - rather than stuck on the wing.

Also tend to agree with those that have commented that criticism of him may have been racially motivated - by some - not all.

I honestly think he is a great player, a true asset to the team.

So many times I've watched games, and always picked out Guly as a key player - most criticism is completely unfair.

Puncheon hasn't real played well for us apart from about his first two games. Then all his **** with the club etc. Guly on the other hand is class.

I wonder are the idiots who criticise guly the same people who seem reluctant to give Steve DeRidder a chance? We're lucky to have both of em imo.

Oops! I am guilty of crticising De Ridder. I wouldn't dream of booing him but I am waiting to be impressed.
