He showed himself to be a dishonest person?

Kind of like how you guys all hate Kanu now.

Haha this guy really is tragic <laugh>

You club is hanging over the cliff by one thread of rope and all you can do is care about how one of our former players was involved in a pathetic little bet that never affected the outcomes of games.

Unlike Pompey's cheating of buying players they couldn't afford which affected EVERY game they played...
    <whistle>

Certain oblivion, still trading insolently, clubs waiting for you to go bust so they don't have to pay any 'well earned cash' towards your club.

Hate is a strong word to use, Pieking. I think most Pompey fans still adore him for his F.A. Cup winning exploits, but are now of the opinion he (and/or his agent) is acting in an extremely greedy manner in demanding payments, that if made to him, would most likely bankrupt the club, who; by the way; have given him an excellent living in the years he has been at Fratton Park.

Bearing in mind his advanced years, he has been looked after very well by PFC, to my mind.

How dare the bloke want what he is owed. If local charities can go without their money then he can as well .

You are of course correct - he was a good honest defender, a very good centre back.
All his problems started (very much self induced) when his playing days were over, something he
had trouble coming to terms with. As I have previously said, he was very lucky not to end up in
prison for a string of serious motoring offences connected to drink & class A drugs.
He is now virtually penniless & living back in Norway - he always said he would never return there.
This is not heresay - I personally dealt with him quite a lot during his time at Southampton.
Blew absolute fortunes on cars, much to the fury of his wife.
I am not glad to see him in such reduced circumstances now.

So what makes Kanu more special and more entitled to getting what he's owed than local charities (who were paid from the pockets of Portsmouth supporters, which you conveniently forget)?

PompeyLapras - don't waste your breath responding to that particular nerk. I ignored his pathetic attempt at WUMMING (he isn't very good at it, is he ? <laugh>)

No wonder he is keeping quiet about Attendances at the moment, did you see the huge vacant spaces behind the goal at St. Marys, on You Tube, in the recent match against Arsenal. Utterly disgraceful for a massive Premier League team like them. Tut, tut, tut............

France Possum? I thought you would be off to follow your lot on their pre- season tour over in Switzerland, but then I remembered you like to watch your footy in a plastic armchair!<laugh>

If you did go you could borrow my well travelled, albeit red vuvuzela.<ok>
