I know you are not a fool Cest but how many times do I have to explain the same thing. Bruce, I did criticise Bruce and had no problem with you or anyone else calling for his head. It was the, IMO, silly abuse I complained about and the ridiculous he threw the derby games to please his family. I did prefer Hughes, no shame in that but I also back MON, 100% but that does not mean I follow blindly. I am not excited by the lack of signings or the names being linked, I do know the names linked and who we bring in may well be miles apart but I am underwhelmed, that's just me being honest. And finally Cest, why is it always you who reads my post and decides to turn it into a Bruce v MON fight, now that is pathetic. You are far from being the only Sunderland fan with an opinion Cest.
It's all comparative really. We trust MoN as a great manager and at the same time are encouraged by Short's words that he wants to sign a few quality players. At the same time, we see clubs that are in comparative positions to ours (or worse) reinforcing their squads and getting stronger, while we are standing still. It's just nervousness and restlessness. We all hope we will have made some cracking signings by the end of the window and if we have we'll all be happy. It's just that we haven't - yet - so comparatively we're in a weaker position than teams strengthening. We all want SAFC to improve and so nerves are to be expected. Just a matter of wait-and-see.
Syd. You were extremely critical of my stance on Bruce so I find your current stance on Mon, before he has even had a chance to bring in anyone, extremely hypocritical to say the least. I think MON is the man to take us on, I did fancy Hughes as he is younger with just as much Premier League experience MON, however I did honestly doubt MON would come to us, hence I leaned towards Hughes. I do not believe Syd would wish to see MON fail just to further his own self value, however we seem to see plenty crowing on about Bruce's demise to advance theirs.
