    I believe Jol gave 22 players a 'run out'. Among those not include were Dempsey and Ruiz (only just joined in training), Duff (not yet joined), Rodallego (because of work permit? - he had been training with squad for most of last week), Senderos and Kelly (don't know where either of these players is).

    I think Senderos was injured, as shown in the "First Day Back" thread. No idea about Kelly though...

    Hmmm not so sure - he hasn't been in any Official blurb. Sidwell was taken off injured in the game yesterday but it is said to be "just a knock" - hope so with his record.

    Academy

    The Academy (or at least a Youth Team - I get quite confused with team ages and descriptors these days) flew off to Portugal today on a pre-season tour. Absolutely no details from the Club who they will play or how many games.

    The youngsters drew 3-3 and by all accounts should have won. You will not believe this but Moussa Dembele (jnr) scored one of the goals. The others were by Emerson Haydon and Patrick Roberts.

    I don't know the full team Bidley - will see if I can get more info.

    I'm just loving the fact we have two Moussa Dembele's. It's like the club is playing an elaborate practical joke.

    Stockdale; Riether, Hughes (c), Halliche, Riise; Etuhu, Gecov, Sidwell; Mesca, Trotta, Kacaniklic

    And the subs -

    Shwarzer, Hangeland, Baird, Petric, Diarra, Frei, Dalla-Valle, Briggs, Davies, Dembele, Brister, Etheridge

    No Dempsey. Read into it what you will.

    Not too bothered about the lack of Demps, he could still be getting to full fitness. Mesca and Etuhu are in the team but that doesn't mean they'll be next year's stalwarts. Clint's not gone 'til he's gone!

    Chuffed for Trotta though! Go on Rodders!

    I think any nickname for Rodallega really should be centred around "Hugo" rather than the Rod bit.
