Anita - Newcastle move so tempting

Most likely Agent just trying to keep the possibility open, in case another move fails, but apparently, Anita would like a move to Newcastle.

I'd be very happy if this came off, because with him and Debuchy signed, I'd not feel that bad for losing Simmo, if he goes, as we'll then have enough depth.

 

A good signing if we get him but there's plenty of other fish in the sea.

If as it seems they're going to make a hard deal of it we'll just move on.

 

How dare they play us at our own game! >:O

The only worry I have about this story is that he may play in the same position as Tiote, who we all know is being linked with a big money move to one of the 'big four'. Could he be lined up as a potential replacement for Mr T?

 

I really hope not. But then the club philosophy is to scout for talent and buy as cheap as possible, then sell on for for more if required. So we can't discount that the likes of Tiote will move to a 'big four', or to say Italy / Spain at some point soon.

Hopefully if we get the likes of Anita it is to add depth and competiton for places. In which case, I'm feeling ever more confident of the club stabilising as a regular top 10 club (or better). But we never quite know for sure with Mike/Derek.

 

Be nice to think we were getting him to strengthen the squad rather than as a replacement for Tiote.

 

Can't see why he couldn't fit in like a Man City type formation with 2 dms.

Ben Arfa Cabaye Ba/Marv/Jonas

That's the formation we played last season, only, it was a 4-2-1-3, not a 4-2-3-1

 

I would definitely be excited about the prospect of two defensive midfielders in Anita & Tiote protecting the back 4 while Cabaye plays attacking midfielder (like he did at the end of last season when he was in that great run of form)

Then of course the front 3 of Benny, Cisse and Demba.

Would be really sad to see Gutierrez out of the lineup though after the graft he put in last season.

 

I'm glad someone else is finally starting to understand our formation.

But I wouldn't worry about Jonas marra, we'll play so many games, that Jonas will be getting his fair share of starts. I'll doubt we'll see our strongest possible side, apart from in the biggest games.

 

If i had to start a team to win a must-win game I think i'd still rather have Guti playing alongside Tiote he is so underrated its' unbelievable!
