If you use your computer/laptop much on a night, may I recommend Flux.

It changes your display depending on the time, so that your eyes adjust much more easily. After trying it for a while, I tried turning it off, and was almost blinded.

First impression ........ good, but can't see the flipping keyboard even though the screen is bright as I have turned out the room light. LOL. The cursor glows but but it will take a bit of getting use too, I think it goes on local time and adjusts accordingly to sunrise and sunset.

I just turn my lights on when it gets dark outside, then it's just like using it during the day.

To just stop it, go into the programme and exit it.

If you aren't going to use it again, uninstall it (Control Panel > Programmes etc...)

Been using it for a good 6 months now, it's a great program, the computer doesn't keep me as alert and I go to sleep earlier as a result :p

The display feels dirty and yellow at first when it activates, but you get used to it quickly. If I try turning it off, my eyes start to water and I wonder how I used to stare at such a bright screen all the time at night.

I have pretty much the same experience.

It seems a little weird at first, but after a short while you get used to it, and the standard display seems crazily bright.
