According to the second link it says Hughes is now on trial at Cheltenham. The more interesting name for me on that list was James Harper. He would be a very good singing for us at this level, is more than capable of still playing championship football however I feel his wages maybe quite high. Would be a brilliant signing if we could complete it though.

Can only echo those thoughts, however have heard nothing about him and the Gills apart from in that one article so I'm not getting my hopes up yet!

Have to agree pegleg Harper would be a good signing, Hughes who as 4everandaday has said is training with Cheltenham as I said I dont remember him standing out when we played them.

Just a personal opinion but I have no accreditation (I think that's the right word) to that second link.

There has been a lot of rumours spread on twitter today in regards to new signings, some which stated the signings would be announced today. To which I replied that I was ignoring most rumours.

Looking at the second link supplied by KSN, there was previous rumours in regards to our pending manager vacancy at the time. I challenged the source? To which there was no reply. I base reputation on how you support your comments.

Having said that if you now look back at that second link it states...A number of other names have been floated around as being linked with a move to The Gills with former Ipswich Town defender Alex Bruce and former Hull City midfielder James Harper.

    Hope that clarifies <ok>

ps. forgot to add, KOS Media and Radio Kent have replied to me several times, especially when questioning stuff, which is a measure of reliability.

Harper was pretty shocking for us but was good for Reading a few years back so maybe he could rekindle his past form for you lot at a lower level. Alex Bruce is out with our squad in Portugal at the moment. We're hoping it's just for fitness and not a potential move. Don't fancy him at City, don't think having your son playing for you is a very good idea (for obvious reasons). Got onwards of 150 appearences in the Championship though so I would've thought he'd be a good capture for you lot. <ok>

How old is Alex Bruce? I've never seen him play, all I've heard is that he had an annoying habit of letting the ball bounce rather than attack the initial header. Don't get me wrong I'd love a player who is decent in the championship but League 2 is a different playing style and wasn't Frampton playing championship football the season before last?

He's 27, almost 28. In terms of habits he also has a rather bizarre one, he vomits after leaving the dressing room before the start of the second half.

nothing unusual about that - been doing it before, then usually during, and definitely after many games for longer than I care to remember.
