This Austin looks like the sort of solid midfielder we should have signed instead of Pugh or Green who (while being decent back-up) don't have the raw ability to tackle or pass. A good holder like Austin next to a playmaker will make for a good '2' in the 4-2-3-1 Warnock's planning. £400k isn't excessive for someone who comes with such rave reviews.
