The transfer, and the player himself, both look fairly unconvincing.

It's quite possible that he has Italian descent. Looking at the name it's not that unlikely. Seen a few other examples....

Have a feeling there may be one or two of these rumours over the next few weeks especially as we are clearly happy to take a look at some players pre-season. Doubt all are going to sign. I really hope this doesn't lead to a weakness in our position to bring through and keep the likes of Murray, namely first team opportunities for our own.

I would assume so yes. A citizen of a country in the EU is allowed into the UK by right. That is assuming that those people are citizens of the respective country.

Yes we do it in the oil industry. You can work on a European passport and I'm sure its quite easy to get an Italian one if your great great grandfathers cat ate pizza.

Yep, as long as they have a passport of an EU country they can work here no problem - Freedom of Movement. As long as GZ can pick and choose who he wants out of the players sent to him rather than forced to take and play them, then I think we will be ok. Pretty sure there is a limit to 'foreign' loanees anyway - possibly 5.

Which, I suspect, is exactly why anchovies suddenly became popular on pizza. ;)
