John Terry may have been cleared of racially aggravated abuse by a magistrate's court, but he is certainly not in the clear from the F.A. who I now expect to rightly come down on him like a tonne of bricks.

Will the FA have a leg to stand on to charge him after being found innocent in a court of law?

I actually think they will, Suarez would have been cleared in a court of law, and he got a 9 game ban I think it was

Of course the proof required for the FA is far less than required in law.

for example Suarez, he wasnt even charged by the law yet found guilty by the FA.

But the FA will not even charge Terry, Im 100% sure of that.

I don't think they will take any action either.

Surely it is? Has anybody complained to the FA - not that I can remember. In the Suarez case, Evra complained to the ref, that certainly didn't happen here. Please let's not have the embarrassment of these inept fools dragging this out even more.......,,

Criminal trial requires proof beyond all reasonable doubt.

Civil case: is on the balance of probability

FA: if Alex Ferguson says its okay. So yes FA can and I reckon will do as they see fit. Any action before the tral would have prejuiced it. Lets Kick Racism ot of football campaign will not let this go

I hope this is the end of it and the Fa let things be,all this is bad publicity for the game and for the clubs involved, its not healthy. On a different note glad you stayed up last year and wish you well for the coming season, although with the good signings MH has made for you mid table will be comfortable, good luck

Yes, it would be nice to draw a line under this whole sorry saga, but I believe the FA will feel under pressure to examine the detail and be seen to be doing something about it, especially as it resulted in a court case which clearly brought the game into disrepute. Thanks for your comments ncfcpaul, we should both hopefully be comfortable next season...<ok>

If the FA thought that there was anything to answer to then they'd have told Roy to drop him citing the distraction of a court case as the reason.

    They won't do owt.

I think the 'Kick It Out' campaigners might be putting the FA under pressure about this, there's a programme about racism in football on Monday so this will run and run, unfortunately for Anton...

The FA would be extremely stupid to stick their beak in now, whatever you think of the situation. It should be put to bed now so everyone can move on, it creates nothing but more hostility between both sets of fans and the FA are only going to end up with egg on their face.

I think the problem for the FA is that the language that was used by both will result in both being on a 'disrepute charge', players have been 'hung out to dry' for far less...
