It does seem for some clubs it never rains but it pours. It's well documented that Argyle have been through the mill and back recently and last season was touch and go as to whether we would even be a league club this season. It is ALWAYS the supporters who suffer for the mismanagement of clubs. Owners come and go but the one constant is us who care more than anyone what happens. We do tend to demand Owners put their hands in their pockets though and then kick off when they do and the wheels come off. Don't know much about your previous owner except he seems a bit of a pillock as were ours.

We meet in the league cup at the start of the season. After that match I wish you all the best sincerely and hope Pompey can keep going. I am old enough to remember the battle of the ports from years ago and the numbers on the terraces in those days. It was a bigger fixture than our local rivalry clubs. I'm sure there will eventually be a light at the end of your tunnel and things can move forward for once.

I could very well be wrong but Chainari will still own the stadium and therefore have a certain hold over a future Portsmouth.
It does mean as already said that it prevents any possible quick escape for Balram by draining the club of all immediate revenue streams to get his money back and potentially encountering another admin in a couple of years.
This may well put the trust in charge and give them greater strength to negotiate a fair rent with Chainari but it won't be the end of him

Here is hoping that this season can be concluded with stability come May.

With the prospect of playing pretty much a youth team I can see League Two beckoning. The financial situation now is a lot worse than it was in the late 1970s when we ended up in the Fourth Division. I just hope the club can survive as a league side!

We should fight and seek to get this ridiculous decision recinded. Whoever decided we should be punished again needs to take their own fit and proper persons test after all, THE LEAGUE APPROVED OUR LAST DEFUNCT OWNERS AND YET WE ARE THE ONES THAT ARE PUNISHED AGAIN, BECAUSE OF THEIR STUPIDITY.

This is the bit of the FL's statement that I find it hard to get my head around.

Correct me if I'm wrong......... but didn't the FL spend last season

    a) scrutinising PFCs accounts on a monthly basis;
    b) scrutinising and approving player signings; and
    c) approving the sale of PFC to CSI? (The latter despite the well documented concerns of the supporters).

They seem to take a rather lacksidasical approach themselves and are a bit too comfortable with their ability to deflect any kind of responsibility for their own woolly oversight.

The fans have almost no power, apart from voting with their feet - we have no choice but to rely on the powers that be to ensure integrity - they have most definitely failed us.

Having said that - they may have failed but they are not to blame - the blame lies squarely with the exCEO, David Lampitt (now the CEO of Supporters Direct), the Finance Director (John Redgate) and the other board member (Byrom) along with Ackers, Antonov & Dubov - the owners of CSI.

If we had been relegated by more than 10 points last season then the deduction would be acceptable. However, the fact is that, but for the deduction last season we would have stayed up. Surely the club has already been punished enough by effectively being demoted a division for going into admin.

Don't get me wrong i don't dislike pompey and i have lots of friends and work colleagues who are pompey fans, but surely another points deduction was inevitable, as far as i'm aware you've not paid or even attempted to pay back any of the previous CVA agreement. and since the first time Pompey as a club didn't down size squad or wages in any way and its only recently since yet again going in to administration that pfc have started to try to do something about it. Too little to late in my eyes, to many charities and local businesses have been screwed over by pfc. I know its the fans that end up suffering but what else could the fa do.

I'm sure this has been explained many times. The FAPPT is merely to find out if a potential owner is legally allowed to own a company in the UK. Whether they have the money the say they have is the club's problem.

As a QPR fan I'm not up to speed with whats happened at Pompey in detail, but with us having previously been in administration I sympathise with Pompey fans. I have never understood the points deduction rule, it seems to do little other than punish the fans.

Keep the faith guys, at some point you'll come out the other side. What division you're in is not as important as the survival of the club.

Good Luck and I wish you all the best.

So what would you suggest to punish team in administration?*

*If you say "fine them" I'm going to laugh at you.

Punish the people that caused the problem is the general consensus Pieking. I.E Rangers are in the schit cos there ex owner dodge tax for about 5 years. Order him to pay it all back with interest, not demote the club 3 divisions. It was Rupert lowe's fault you went down the toilet. Fine him for incompetence and ban him from future football positions of power. It's Chanrai's fault we are in such a mess. Cut his fookin head off etc etc etc.

I have today written to Greg Clark Chairman of the Football League and also Dave Richards of The EPL to complain about our points deduction , in particular regarding the statement by the Football League regarding the conditions of membership offered to Portsmouth FC. I quote from their statement which reads "we seek to ensure the sporting integrity of league football '' I have suggested that by the same virtue Southampton FC should also be deducted 10 points like us and retrospectively because of their blatant cheating as admitted by their former players, whilst an investigation should also be started as to how the Scummers(not very Saintly) miraculously got back to back promotions with some very surprising match results, were these also rigged or match fixed?<whistle>

I am also very suspicious about how fat Lambo scored so many goals for the Scummers when he was on a 'pie as you play' contract<laugh>

So, no punishment on the sporting side then? Even though success on the pitch is the whole point of the business? And that spending beyond their means has given them an unfair advantage?

Face it, deductions are the only thing they can realistically do. Clubs in admin typically have no money. Its like trying to fine a tramp.
