    Thompson Twins
    Tears For Fears

Elton John's most seminal output was during the 80s.

There is no apostrophe in 80s.

Was into Guns n Roses but then Nirvana came along so went with the grunge!I'm more of a 90s man myself but if I had to name three bands of 80s it would be rem(brilliant in their early days, crap at the end),stone roses(seem them live last week, brilliant stuff) and the smiths.

I like them but when I saw them live, it was a room full of "wacky students" if you know what I mean, put me off a bit. It was a different crowd to what I was used to mixing with.

A similarly cult band who really should have been much bigger are The Cardiacs, incredible musicians.
