This seems to me that the writing is on the wall for Carroll at Liverpool - if Brendan Rogers doesn't have him figuring in his plans, surely he has got to go and play regular football somewhere else?

West Ham are already interested, but I think Pardew has got to at least make an approach about this possibility.

We've raked in £35,000,000 for him and yet could have him playing for us next season?

    A no-brainer, surely?

Personally, if I was Brendan Rogers, I would keep Carroll at Liverpool and have him adapt to the passing game that he prefers... it would be chirlish to send an England international out on loan and would surely spell the end of his Liverpool career?

I'd have him back. I think it would really help him.

Not only would he get game time, he'll hopefully make it up to the Toon fans, and we'll let **** in the past go, and he'll feel better.

I just hope the toon fans stop this pathetic booing of Carroll. It's been 18 months or so now.

I still think he loves Newcastle United. But it's just time to move on.

Stop booing him, just get over it.

Non starter. It's just a load of rubbish made up by the press because they are bored. Rodgers never said he'd loan Carroll and considering AC is essentially a non-**** Danny Graham, I'm sure he fits into a system somewhere.

Also, FSG aren't going to be seen to write off £37m odd after a season. It's not exactly 'money ball' is it?

We should hope they sell Carroll soon though, because wasn't it part of the Carroll deal that if they sold him within 5 years, we get an extra few million?

    Sell on fees or something?

Would you dip into your savings to help pay the £80k a week that he gets?

We're talking about a loan deal here, where we'd hopefully just a portion of his wages. 40k a week maybe?

OK, we'll let you pay that mere pittance out of your savings.

    Rofl.

Ba, Cisse and Carroll would be a brilliant striking force. And with us being in Europe, 3rd choice strikers aren't just bench warmers. They play regularly.

Heck, even Shola will get, I reckon, will get a **** load of apps next season.

If we are going to get anyone back from the bindippers I'd rather it was Jose.

That said, I don't want anyone back. Everyone should just move on now.

Yeah, real pity Jose left. Would be great having him + Santon at full-backs. But as you say, the moment has gone and time to move along with it.

Its more semantics than anything else. He says he'd consider loaning players and that even Andy Carroll could benefit from being loaned. Not that he would, or he'd even thought about it yet.

The newspapers / websites have to write something, so the usually totlly make up any old crap, or add 2 + 2 and then make up crap.

Well be fair, it must be difficult to be a footie Journo when there is no football actually being played. Hence the need to make stuff up (or more than usual). I'm sure once the friendlies start they can go back to predicting Newcastle's imminent demise and stop having to twist every last statement by a manager beyond all reason.

Would I accept him back? - Yes
Would I want Newcastle to pay >£50k p/w for him? - No
Would I want him back on loan? - No
Would I want Newcastle to pay more than £10mil for him? - No
Would I play him instead of Cisse & Ba? - No

I can't hate Andy Carroll, I still want him to do well in an England shirt but you have to forget how much we sold him for and think of how much he is worth in real terms. We may see him in a Newcastle shirt again, but not for 3-4 years minimum.
