Cold sarnie...Roast beef with horse raddish on fresh bread....OR hot optio.....sausage wth bacon on top...with fried egg on top with HP Brown sause on fresh bread. Wouls strongly recommend NOT to wear a white shirt when eating as you can end up looking a complete arse when you go to a meeting after eating this with a mixture of egg and brown sause on your shirt....
The lunch van down the road provides a bacon and cheese offering, in a white baguette as long as your forearm, stuffed with five rashers and about a quarter-pound of grated cheddar, complete with HP sauce. All for £2.60 Can't really come up with a better alternative at the moment.....
with you all the way, but try having it in toast instead. Important here, do not cook as a toastie, just mash your banana on one piece of toast then slap some peanut butter on another slice of toast, bring together as a sandwhich and bobs your uncle.
Find it hard to resist a nice hot sausage n mushroom sarnie with HP when the chance arises... While living in the US I was partial to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich too...

Mouth watering sandwich selections:- Nice to hear some of my favourites mentioned - my wife & kids think some of these are quite digusting! 1) Medium rare roast beef on fresh bread with Coleman's prepared hot mustard. 2) Bacon with ketchup (always Heinz). 3) BLT 4) Bacon & egg (yes, messy!) 5) Tasty cheddar with Branston pickle (a mainstay for me with a pint, although a small jar is $5 over here) 6) Montreal bagel with cream cheese & Lox (smoked salmon). I also liked a squeeze of lemon juice & paprika on the smoked salmon.
Everyday - many of those mentioned above, especially crispy bacon and egg. When I have 10 minutes - open sandwich - portobello mushroom with Stilton melted on it on a thick slab of toasted crispy white bloomer, and a bit of rocket.
I always remember my first visit to USA, me and a mate played golf at Kissimmee Golf Club in Florida, after our round we thought we'd have a snack in the bar of the club and ordered a chicken sandwich. What appeared in front of us was about half a chicken sliced up between three layers of bread that were about a foot long, enough side salad to feed a football team and a side plate of 'fries' that were like doorsteps, all for three dollars!...
