Leo i saw the newbie title but i didnt know what you ment by the comment is all and Elixir, i am satisfied although i still think there is more to be had because there is nothing left to lose, not now 0-0 VS Man united at old trafford, 85th minute. Do you go for it or keep it at 0-0? Becasue atm we arnt losing, but possibly a strong push away from winning in both situations
Elixir--I don't think Eustace will get a suspension--his 10th (!) yellow card came after the April 10th amnesty date. Well timed John!
that helps then seriosly need him for the Leeds game !! last two games we concede very quickly ,do you think MM should put them on the pitch 5 mins early!!
Naw - imagine how embarassing it would be if we conceded before Leeds even got onto the pitch..........
Welcome YRBA - For me, it's our incosistency up front and stupid mistakes in defence that has lost a play off place. Missing what are considered open goals i.e. at Coventry and last night and giving away stupid goals i.e. at Reading have cost us dear. Staying ahead of the pack requires consistency across the team...and we have just not been able to do that
Leo, I think you have a point here. The classification system on not606 is far too basic for the miscellany of ages, interests and talents we have in the Nest. I suggest - Member, Senior Member, Can Still See Own Member, Lost Sight of Member, Forgot Ever Had Member.
Keep believing YRBA - try doing the predictor on the BBC site. It doesn't take too much of a yellow tint to see that we could still nick that 6th spot - the way the remaining games are, any of 6 or 7 teams could go on a run and take Leeds' place. A bloody long shot - but I'll be going to Leeds on Saturday with eternal optimism!
Yes we could still do it but as others have said we have squandered enough chances to catch up i cant see it happening Losing mutch, taylor and mcginn was key as was the fact the loanees that come in have not, in my opinion, merited their place in the team. I feel a little sorry for drinkwater- most of our succesful loanees have taken sone time to settle in but hehasnt had a chance to settle in.
Interesting thread YRBA and welcome to our Watford world. I do not agree. our season is finished. Let the reserves have a go.
As a complete Eeyore, I too think this season is over. However, our club is built on foundations of optimism, certainly in recent decades, and I salute all those that still believe. (Now where is my tail? I think Rabbit must be using it as a bell-pull!)
