Good Morning Everyone, Leeds Utd return to training tomorrow with what promises to be a very difference squad that kicked off against at Southampton last August. How many players that were regulars last season do we expect to have an active roll this season? Blackburn or Boro look set to fight it out for Kewells signature. I bet he is not looking forward to coming back to Elland Road. As reported yesterday the Leeds Utd ticket office will be closed for 'urgent repairs between the 16th -19th July. Anybody care to speculate??? No news on the takeover, I just wish we were put out of our misery one way or the other....
Morning - Sitting here slightly surprised that Warnock did not spend the Clayton money, was expecting Peltier, Norris and Varney to all sign yesterday. I was wondering what a time scale would be for the quoted "exclusivity period" which was announced on the 26th June. You have to assume this happened the day prior, maybe earlier but working from the 25th - The 9th July would be 14 days and 16th July would be 21 days and the 23rd a full four weeks. I am only guessing it would have been a rounded figure and the 16th would fall nicely into that bracket

For a player who has managed to accumulate around 4.5M in transfer fee's he hasn't scored many goals, fee's of 2M - 1M - 750K and a release clause of 250k shows that a few managers have seen something in him to warrant a spend?

I think it's today. I'm pretty sure a deal will be sorted out with Bolton for Lonners soon enough. The Portsmouth chairman has also said he expects deals for Varney and Norris to be completed midweek, so maybe things are starting to move along.
It is the speed in which things are not happening that worries me Bucks. Look at it this way, imagine worse case scenario and the T/O is delayed by a considerable amount of time or doesn't happen. Would we rather have Peltier, Norris and Varney taking part in a long pre-season and getting 3-4 weeks under their belts with their new team mates or Kenny? Lonners leaving might not happen for a good few weeks, I would have assumed securing Norris, Varney and Peltier more important.

OH MY GOD, THEY SOLD KENNY........QPR and Leeds United appear to have agreed a deal for goalkeeper Paddy Kenny to move to Elland Road. He looks set to be reunited with former Rangers boss Neil Warnock, whom he also played under at Sheffield United and Bury. Warnock has been hampered by financial restrictions and at one stage looked like missing out on the 34-year-old as a number of Championship clubs made their interest clear.
