Now if you are able to substantiate that with verifiable hard facts you will be taken seriously however if you are unable to do so you will be made to look a total fool and in doing so demonstrate even further just how stupid goons are.

I tell you what, I'll help you. In the 2010/2011 season the goons' wage bill was £110 million whilst that at Spurs was £67 million, now unless we are in a parallel universe I believe you will find that 110 > 67 meaning the goons have spent more that Spurs.

Maybe you should look less at wage bill and more on the bigger picture <doh> facts are you spend more than us

That's not what he said and why would you not include wages?

Maybe you should learn to write what you mean rather than what you think you have written then.

You WROTE:

(It's spent by the way <ok>)

Wow - there's a first, a gooner that thinks.

"Recent"? You sold 3 of your first 11 last summer to bigger clubs but you want to go back 11 years and call it 'recent'? :D

Typical when I prove one of you lot wrong you resort to petty insults about by spelling or Grammar, perhaps you should try and learn a different language and we will see how well you fair in the spelling and grammar department.

1.) I did not say that we haven't sold our some of our best players because we have, I was responding to claims that we are a selling club and argue that Spurs are also a selling club if the argument applies to us.

2.) Berbatov came to you in 2008 and Carrick came in 2006 that's not 11 years now is it, you purposely chose the oldest one to try an ridicule my argument when the facts are that the other 2 were hardly that long ago.

We spent less than £10m on transfers last season, you spent in excess of £50m...

surely looking at the wage bill is part of the bigger picture? or is something to be overlooked?

1.) Why? You brought up 3 players sold over the last 11 years. Nasri, Clichy and Fabregas have all left in the last 12(ish) months. In that same time period we've rejected about 20 bids from Chelsea for Modric and when you also realise Adebayor, Toure, Flamini, Hleb, Cole, Vieira and Henry also all left you around the same time that we lost Carrick and Berbatov there's really no comparison between the two as selling clubs.

2.) Well yeah, I picked the most ridiculous example you gave to ridicule, that's how it works. Anyway, ignore Campbell and look at the players listed above that have left against the club's wishes in roughly the same period since we lost Carrick and then Berba.

Yes Spurlock but he is focusing on one asset while i'm trying to look at the spending as a whole so net-spending would be more relevant to look at

Alright then how about the following:

Ryan Nelsen, France Louis Saha, Niko Kranjčar, Vedran Ćorluka These were all part of your First team last year, we on the other hand have lost: Almunia from our first team. This is the most recent information about transfers for this current window and clearly shows that you have sold far more players from the first team than us so far. My logic stands therefore if we are a selling team then so are you.

Are you being serious?
You can't classify a team as a selling club because they release players who are coming to the end of their careers and because they sell on players that no longer play.

<laugh>

Saha and Nelsen were RELEASED.

Kranjcar and Corluka left because they couldn't get into our first team.

We wanted to sell Adebayor, Toure and Flamini left because he was struggling to get into the first team and because he wanted more money, this didn't stop Yid Vicious including him in his list.

Flamini played 40 games in his final season at Arsenal.
You didn't want to sell either Adebayor or Toure, either.

Every team buys and sells, you're taking the "selling club" tag too literally. Eboue for example was a member of your first team squad yet I wouldn't use him as an example of selling club as you wanted rid, just as we did with the players you listed.

That was the first time Flamini really broke into the team and we had Song ready to replace him, we were getting increasingly frustrated by Adebayor so we wanted him to go Toure had to go after the altercation with Gallas (Although I wanted him to stay instead of Gallas)
