My goodness you have had some misfortunes to cope with in the last few years. As you have found out, doctors can do amazing things these days and procedures that only a few years ago were impossible are now almost routine, so let's hope for the best. The NHS often takes some stick but, when it comes to stuff like this, it is world class and something we all should appreciate more. You and your family have my sincere prayers and best wishes for a safe and happy outcome. Please keep us posted.
Thankyou for your kind words mate! Yes ive always doubted the NHS , but we had a scan last Fri. Things didnt look too bad then, but they referred us to Newcastle this Wed as a precaution. Things had dramatically changed when we went and 22hours later my wife was in theatre in London with one of the best surgeons in the world. You cant ask for much more than that!
I'm a twin and I happened to be the stronger of the two, my brother was breech birth and under weight so had to spend time in an incubator to get him strong enough to lead a healthy life. I hope all goes well with your twin boys, I sure hope they pull through for you both. Have faith in the surgeon(s).
I'll d my best to meet up with the pair of you, but it depends on my shifts which I will need to check nearer the game..
Although brought up catholic I don't pray now But like you and many others on here I will make exception tonight Just really hope it works
Thoughts and hopes, go from me to you, not great on religeon these days. but sincerely hope all works out for you and yours. And against the grain, God bless.
Add another exception to the praying rule, ill be talking to the supposed big man upstairs to pay extra attention to your wife and 2 boys. All the best mate
I have identical twin girls and really feel for you. I can imagine what you both must be going through as we had our fair share of dramas in their early infancy. But every cloud has a silver lining and they are now 24 extremely healthy and working as midwives at the RVI so be positive and who knows it may be an identical twin (a Sunderland fan as well) who will help deliver your healthy identical twin boys into this world. So keep your faith and place your trust in those experts who will do everything they can for you. I will say a prayer for you all and good luck and God bless
hope everything turns out ok mate, just told the family and we're all thinking of yous all, that surgeon sounds top notch so the boys are in good hands, keep us posted marra and good luck
Isn't it interesting that those of us who claim not to be particularly religious feel they can pray when one of our own asks for an extra bit of support. Like Jerry, this may be due to long suppressed memories of Catholic indoctrination as a child even though, as an adult, I now certainly don't believe in a 'God'. However I do believe in the overwhelming power of PEOPLE to work together to help others less fortunate than themselves. Despite everything I see in the news about war, crime, drugs, prejudice, greed, corruption etc. etc. I still think, on an individual level, these terrible things are balanced out by the general goodness I have encountered throughout my life, from so many people. So, when it comes down to helping a young couple to have the family they dearly want, it feels quite right for me to say a prayer for them.
Very well put Hieronymus - everything crossed for a successful outcome for you and the family TM. From yet another of the 'Agnostic and Atheist' online SAFC supporters branch.
Best of luck to you and yours mate. I am certain there is a God, unlike most on here, so I'll send one up for you for sure. Hope it helps...
