    As for your assessment, pretty much spot on with everything else I've read about him. Pace and passing ability in abundance but still very raw. Given the views of many of our fans about loaning him back out, I'm sure you'd be happy to take him for another year?

    I also saw the BBC article JPF posted up earlier. This lad sounds like he has a tremendous attitude to life and to football. Hadn't heard of him until recently but everything I see and hear makes me think he's a star of the future. It's great to see lads like this with a humble appreciation of what they have. He seems to want to give back, rather than just in it to take. And sounds like he has the potential to be a great player. Well done the Toon!

    I think he'd be better off in the championship, higher standard, and better for him to at least stay at the same level as last year, rather than take a step down. Then again, as we've seen from some of our own players, sometimes a step down is good for development. Who knows?
