You could make it a drinking game.

Every time Horatio from CSI: Miami takes his sunglasses off - have a drink.

It's certainly more brutal than drinking every time a fight breaks on Jerry Springer.

Maybe try Flight of the Conchords or The Mighty Boosh? they're not 'punchline' comedies as such but still hilarious <laugh>

The Wire is hands down one of the greatest programs ever made...

Sons of Anarchy: Based on a fictional biker gang, set in America but last season a lot of it was based in Belfast bizarely enough. Really cool, made me wanna get my BMX out and stick playing cards in the spokes again!

Breaking Bad: The dad from Malcolm in the Middle is a genius chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with cancer and begins cooking crystal meth in order to pay for chemo - very black humour and very, very good!

Misfits is class, very funny, very easy to watch and completely addictive (gutted about the Irish lad if it's true he's not gunna be in the 3rd season...)

How I met Your Mother: unimpressed at first but now I've gotten into it it's Legen....wait for it....dary!

http://www.letmewatchthis.ch/ I always use this site for films as well for who ever was asking?

Misfits... brilliant recommendation, shame Nathan will no longer be in it.
The Event... started of really well, but I lost track of it all.
The Walking Dead... saw the first episode on Sunday... WOW!
Malcolm in the middle... if you can catch it on the channel 5star, then it's great... so funny!
The Big Bang Theory... brilliantly funny, definitely worth watching.
Futurama... always makes me laugh, better than The Simpsons in my opinion.
Prison Break... a great drama, watched it all the way through (unlike LOST) and thought it was better, Season 1 is especially good!

prison break is great, 1st season is up there with some if the best tv show seasons there is, however the last of seasons was a let down but still a great show..

the inbetweeners is fantastic, funny as hell, the film is out in august so cant wait for that.

my name is earl was excellent, but as said above they scraped it and the writers done raising hope which is funny but not as good as earl.

the new one mike and molly was good but i aint seen it on comedy central for a few weeks.

Supernatural's pretty good if you can find it online, basically about 2 brothers who hunt 'supernatural' things, decent stories.

No one has mentioned Life on Mars that I can see. Without question one of the best TV shows ever, possibly THE greatest. Watch it, you'll be hooked. It single handidly justifies the license fee.

Same here, prefered it a couple of seasons ago with the yellow eyes Sams powers stories etc, the episodes were more varied, still a brilliant watch though.

Problem with Jonathan Crrek is that I'm always thinking how much better Alan Davies would look with Collo's hair (Same with QI).

    Another shout is Reggie Perrin.

Aye true, I think it dropped off a bit but I've just watched through series 7 (its on hiatus now) and I think the storylines are picking up again, not really sure how much further they can take the whole thing though, I'll be gutted when it ends.
