What a waste of money and resources.

I was going to say that I just can't believe how gullible people are to buy into the con, but sadly I can.

The one that springs to mind was QPR v Bolton when the ball was about a foot over the line.

Why don't we introduce offside-technology too, as if that was in place the Ukrainian forward who was denied because of that mistake would never have got the chance?

    Fuck technology.

I think it's a good decision. Could gain us points, then again could lose us points, but it stops the media dwelling over a "Was it, or wasn't it" headline when something like that happens which is becoming more often.

Especially in bigger games such as International Competitions and the F.A. Cup etc.

I can see why people would be against it though but it's a good move IMO. This is something that the sport has needed.

Just think, had we have had Goal Line Technology in the 2010 World Cup, Frank Lampard's goal would have seen us level with Germany...

    Possibly a different outcome?

People were saying much the same thing about Wimbledon a few years back then they brought in hawkeye and it's made the game much fairer, tennis might be a bad analogy but there is nothing with a camera or sensor on the line. I don't agree with judging offsides with technology but goal-line clearances for sure.

Lampards non goal against spurs, Caroll header for liverpool against Chelsea, jt clearance in the euros. That's 3 incidents without thinking hard. If it's an instantaneous decision ie the ref is told if it cross the line immediately and there is a max of 3 seconds or something like that for the goal to be given then I think it's a good thing. This wouldn't stop the game and you just play to the whistle

As well as goal ine technology Platini still for some unkown reason insisted that there will be 2 extra linesmen, at each end for goal line disputes

There were 3 conditions the technology had to meet before it could be passed:

    1) Accuracy must be 100% - with no concessions made for shots that, for example, hit the side netting and bulge into the goal.
    2) The referee must be notified of the goal within a second of it crossing the line, as any longer would disrupt the flow of the match.
    3) And the technology must be able to work both during the day and at night under floodlights, and in all weather conditions.
