So how are we rating the signings made by other clubs thus far?

Strange going ons at Blackburn where they have paid £3million for Leon Best who has managed 31 games in 2 seasons (toon fans say he is plagued with injuries) and his goal scoring record isn't exactly terrifying. Signing Danny Murphy on a large wage for 2 years (35 years old) also represents a gamble.

Udders and the Massive have been busy, but in truth the only signings I would have maybe looked at from their respective hauls would be Norwood and Anthony Gardner.

We missed out on Shackell who completed his move to Burnley y'day - I don't know enough to form an opinion but the Derby fans seemed pretty peeved he has left. Though £1million seemed to be a good price for the club.

Bolton looked to have the best recruits so far in Andrews and Mills (also Gregg Wylde available). They would be my early tip for promotion - good squad with a good manager.

Anyone other signings caught anyones eye?

I don't rate Leon Best but will be keen to see how he does at this level. I know nothing about the Portuguese youngster that Blackburn have bought but I am intrigued by him.

Agree with Salford regarding the Rangers/Ex Club 12 giveaway though.

    Woodgate to Boro is interesting.

Similarly I wonder if Michael Owen will drop to the Championship. I can't see it but who knows, he may get desperate.

I didn't see Woodgate to boro - is that new? Top signing, I don't expect he'll play every game but his experience in helping their already strong crop of youngsters will be massive for them.

Saw this morning that udders signed Clayton from Leeds. Thats got to hurt Leeds, he looked like a decent youngster.

Agree on Bolton, good squad, got incredibly unlucky last season IMO, think they'll win it.

Any news on Aluko from Rangers? Good left winger.

Just seen Brighton have signed Wayne Bridge, decent player, happy with Wiggins there though, not a position to spend whatever funds we have on.
