I'm guessing this means Arsenal won't budge on the fee for Mannone then. Man U probably wouldn't loan out him as a second choice, it wouldn't help his development much. I'm sure Amos is a good keeper, but I always wanted Mannone to come back.

I certainly expect us to bring in two keepers.

Yes but you'd think we'd bring in a number one and someone to challenge him. I'd imagine Man U would want Amos to be a number one instead of sitting on the bench and not developing.

Ben Amos is way off Man Utds first team and so will be a very good No.2 to Vito Mannone.

Amos will develope better here and maybe Bruce will give Amos all the Cup games for starters ? But its a long season and we need two keepers who can push each other without a doubt.

SSN was more forth coming on Vito this morning actually.

I thought we might have gone after Amos before now given our Man U connections. Its a gamble getting these rookies from big clubs as Gulacsi and Mannone have proven, one good and the other a duffer. He would be a good addition though given the players we already have signed associated with Man U.

TWS look like they shall be signing Luke Varney from Portsmouth and Tommy Smith from DQPR.

Two good signings for them, not a wow factor, but Warnock seems to be using his QPR blueprint for them... buying decent championship-standard experienced players.

wheres vlad weiss playing these days, was he loan in spain or somewhere, would be another good option for that right wing spot if not too an ambitious signing

He was on loan to a spanish club last season I believe. I saw an article on skysports saying his intention was that his next club would be in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A or La Liga so he might be a bit of a stretch for us. Is he on a free?

im not sure, i know he was at rangers, then on loan at a spanish club, racking my brains for potential right wingers, and think him or Sone Aluko if not too ambitious would be great.

Still a man city player, just been farmed out to Bolton, Rangers and espanyol

Yes that looks about to happen. Cannot say i am all that bothered. We are well covered for left backs.

Problem for COLIN IS THAT he wont have an Abel Taraabt @ TWS. DQPR would not have gone up without him. With Adam Clayton now gone and Snodgrass and McCormack more than likely going to be sold i dont see TWS doing anything at all. Dont forget those DQPR old boys are now 2 years older and will only go down hill. imo.

Yes now Confirmed.!!! Good signing for the Udders.

I can well see the first 4 being Hull Citys players. As for Aluko who knows but yes he would be ok and not that expensive either. With King - Tunicliffe also here on loans that would be a massive improvement to us.

Manchester City are close to sending him to Espanyol in La Liga again for the new season.

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Stoke City about to remove Martin Olsson from his Blackburn Rovers nightmare.

Watford have pulled the plug on the transfer of Cardiff City GK Tom Heaton after Dysche's sacking.

I saw that Tom Heaton's move to Watford has fallen through. I'd rather we signed Mannone but moves for Amos and Heaton would solve our goalkeeper situation, a cheaper solution too.

Ben Williams is available from Colchester, he'd be a decent back-up keeper.

Suggestions that deal for Amos is close but I find that odd if they haven't spoken about Mannone yet. Can't imagine we could take both because Amos will need to play and Mannone would be an expensive sub.

To have both Mannone and Amos pushing each other everyday would / can only benefit the club and both players.
